Have seen today that Cineworld Leigh is at risk of closure as part of a cost cutting campaign. How sad. I know every time I've been, it has a good crowd - at least as good as any other comparable venue. Following Hollywood's output pause during Covid, any fool can see there's lag in the sector that can be made up. Financial backers should be factoring this in as a time to buy cheap shares, not calling in debts. Support our cinema!

1 month agoNever been to a cineworld before, generally I go to Vue Cinema, the experience is different In a Vue Cinema their is way more space in the chairs and they recline and way more comfy, now in the cineworld seats they are tight confined and not reclining, but the worst of all watched the new avatar film waited along time to see this film it never finished and a cleaner was bobbing up and down cleaning, cost £45.00 for entrance with snacks and they have no respect for customers,

3 months agoGood place to watch films. Just wish they didn’t put air conditioning on. Happened twice now. In Bolton, and in leigh.🥶

4 months agoSeats are very uncomfortable. Service is good. Staff are friendly but paying as much as you do, you would expect a bit more. Though as it's the only cinema in the area you're stuck with what you have.

4 months agoWent here for early morning show during the half term holidays, was getting my niece some popcorn asked for the smallest, the lady serving told me about the snackbox (think it was called this) you got popcorn, fruit shoot & a bag of chocs all for only £3.45 this was the morning price, a little dearer in afternoon but well worth it, thank you...

4 months agoIts a shame that theres so few people using the cinema I took my grandson recently and besides us there was only 2 other people watching the film. The staff are all lovely and friendly and spent time chatting to my grandson before we went in

5 months agoThis is an excellent cinema. Has all the latest technology screens and dolby surround sound . It's never really busy and staff are friendly and helpful. Good choice of food and drinks . Parking is great with lots of spaces just outside the main entrance . Leg room is very good but I feel a seating upgrade is needed as they not the most comfortable....This was screen 6 so not sure if other screens have better seats. Well worth a visit...

7 months agoHad a good film selection but stopped showing my favoruite film for some reason. 😒 Caught some man having a poo in the toilet when he didn't lock the door. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ Expensive compared to other cinemas but pretty good for a local. Toilets could do some work though. Only have 1 stall in the mens and I get stage fright so I simply cannot use urinals. IT'S AN OUTRAGE. Oh well.

7 months agoBeen there a lot of times and it's always q good experience, they have comphy seats in the screening rooms and friendly staff. Very expensive for any tickets though. Due to the expense I knocked nearly put 4 stars.

8 months agoCinema is fine, staff really helpful and welcoming. However be aware car parking is limited to 4hrs, we have just received a £60 parking notice as we were over the 4 hrs as we ate at Don Alberto’s (fab food) prior to watching Maverick ( good film and long). Definitely put us off going to Leigh again which is a shame as so close and we did have a nice evening.

8 months agoMe and most the people in the room got kicked out, were being swoarn at and no refund just for clapping. We had no warnings, staff were mostly kind but the manager (Mel) was the bad one. I was up against the wall and she was shouting and swearing at me, right in my face. Unpleasant experience.

8 months agoWatched topgun which was excellent. Food was expensive but I already knew this prior to going. Staff were friendly. Overall had a good time.

9 months agoAs its only a small cinema, the biggest problem is the choice of films. Especially when there is a big film on. Quite often with an unlimited card, you have seen everything. Apart from that, great cinema

9 months agoQuite a quiet cinema. The screens appear to be clean and the toilets are also clean. As of the 14th may 22 the price for an adult ticket is £12, and if you want popcorn and a drink an another £8. The staff to seem to be friendly.

11 months agoWent to watch the new Sonic movie. Bought my tickets online. No issues with anything, used the machine to print off my tickets. Popcorn still super expensive as always but worth it.

11 months agoGood facilities, plenty of room to watch film. Not a fan of seat ticketing unless it is a brand new showing so seats should not need to be reserved at that point.

1 year agoTook the kids to see sing 2,all enjoyed, can't beat the sound of the cinema, snacks and drinks very expensive, but is worth it for the experience you won't get at home.

1 year agoBest cinema around. Screens are nice and dark (unlike other cinemas in the chain). It's spotlessly clean. Fantastic friendly staff. Very lucky to have this cinema on the doorstep. Thankyou

1 year agoAbsolutely loved it. We went when it was the £3 tickets weekend and it was packed and nice to see. Wish they would do it once a month. They must have made a fortune.

1 year agoI have been an unlimited member and frequenting Leigh Cineworld for around 8 years. I am of the senior variety, over 60-- but I am sick and tired of the pre school age kids who work on the tills. They constantly presume I need a senior ticket before I've even asked or shown my unlimited card. I'm sure I'm not the only person who finds this rude and offensive! Anyway have now complained vociferously to head office.

1 year agoNice and tidy cinema, friendly staff. Good leg room, but the seats were quite a bit uncomfortable, my back started to hurt halfway through the movie. Everything else was brilliant!

1 year agoWent to the first public showing of the new Bond film at midnight on Thursday. Good value, clean, friendly team, note the website was flaky using Safari or the phone but worked perfectly on the laptop (issue when selecting payment method just stalled and eventually timed out but may have been a temporary issue). Only observation would be a better selection of beers would be good, other than that very happy.

1 year agoGreat cinema, clean and tidy, nice staff. So happy that it's open again, we've really missed being able to watch a film at the cinema.

1 year agoFairly modern, but basic cinema. A little bit pricy compared with others in the Cineworld chain. Staff were friendly and efficient. The selection of ice cream and snacks seemed good too.

1 year agoGood cinema, however nothing is a 5 star anymore after experiencing the leather recliners at Vue cinema. Saying that the seats where very padded so not to bad!

2 years agoThe cinema has dealt with covid well and it felt very safe in the foyer, food is still being served and toilets are open (allowing for social distancing) the seating is reduced however when we arrived it was clear it was up the tje individual to abide by the distance rule. Screen and volume was good. Cant fault it, would of been 5 stars if some seats were taped up.
