I have visited Cineworld Cinema Leigh many times over the years since it first opened.Seen a variety of different films in that time and always greeted by the friendly, polite, helpful and very knowledgeable cinema staff who in my view always go out of their way to help and provide assistance to you

We got a buy one get one free from Compere the meerkat so even with the booking fee it cost less than £8 so quite a bargain. We decided to go for the 5pm viewing, so hopefully, it would be quieter and it was.
We went straight in after having the tickets scanned on my phone. We had chosen our seats when booking but as there was only about 20 other people in we decided to go to the top centre seats instead which wasn't a problem (yes perhaps we should have chosen these when booking but there we go).
We didn't buy anything from their shop as we were going out for something to eat after, but it looked like most of the other did and I noticed some VERY BIG buckets of popcorn being brought in. Worth the visit and the film was good as well.

The staff are amazing here. The cinema is always clean and tidy and the screens are brilliant. Good choice of snacks but could be better.

All good, a wouldn’t recommend sitting on top rows as it gets there really hot to a point your out of breath. Nachos aint are OK but the cheese in the plastic tub is just poor, taste like sour ruther than the cheese alone.

I've been coming to this cinema for many years and it that time I've had no issues with it so it's shame I'm writing a one-star review of it today.
Yesterday at 19.50 I went to watch Argylle in screen 4. Now tickets are expensive anyway but at the time I didn't mind it so much when I thought I would actually manage to watch the film instead of being constantly distracted the whole time by a pair of cinema goers.
Whilst the film was playing, two teenagers who were sat in the top left-hand corner of the cinema was constantly on their phone texting and for some reason they had their phone torch on as well and began waving it about. At various points of the film they also began taking pictures of the cinema screen and recording and the whole time they were talking and laughing which in most cases would be fine but not when you're in the cinema.
I mentioned their behaviour to staff around 10 minutes into the film and I was told not to worry and that the situation would be dealt with. Then a few minutes later another gentleman complained about the same thing.
Now what I expected was staff to have a quiet word with the people involved and ask them to stop and if they refused then they would be asked to leave the screening.
Instead, they sent one member of staff into the screening to watch the boys behaviour who then proceeded to go on his phone himself and then when the teenagers were blatantly waving their phone about and taking pictures, he did nothing.
Now I understand that their may be some hesitation in speaking to members of the public about their behaviour in case it escalates. However, Cineworld also have a responsibility towards their paying customers to offer a good viewing experience and they failed to uphold that and if their not going to deal with the situation then they should of offered a refund to me and the twenty other customers in the screening but something tells me they would not like that option either.
My recommendation would be to either stay at home for further films and wait for the streaming release or go to another cinema nearby like Vue as in today's climate spending money for a viewing experience like that would be a waste.
Film was alright.......

Good range of up to date films and comfortable, spacious seats. You can book in advance and choose seats which is helpful and there is a large carpark that is free. Food and drink is similar to any other cinema but it is pricey for an out of city cinema.

Uncomfortable seats, popcorn everyone. Place isn't kept clean. Prices are typical of any other cinema.
Lights aren't full switched off during movie.
Better To stick with vue cinema

We've been coming here for years and as much as its a bit smaller than other cinemas, it shows exactly what we want.
Plenty of food and drink to choose from.
Clean facilities are a bonus.

We had a really nice afternoon. The staff were very helpful, prices of the food and drink a little on the high side. Inside was lovely and clean but not as cold as we thought it would be. It was very hot outside.

Lovely staff, amazing atmosphere and Barbie was amazing! Only downside in my opinion was children running around causing havoc whilst everyone was trying to watch the movie, whilst their mother's sat on their phones! it's an aged 12 movie and those kids did not look like they reached the requirements! popcorn was amazing and so was everything else other than the havoc!

Watched across the spider-verse for the third time (first at this location) and the sound here is very quiet. The screen also felt far away and the seats were very uncomfortable. The only positive experience was the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

Really disappointed! I have a flyer (and shared with my local u3a) that says "The Unexpected Journey of Harold Fry" was due to be shown on 14th June, only to find it has been replaced with "Big George Foreman". We'd been looking forward to seeing the Harold Fry film for weeks. Very, very disappointed that it has been changed. I guess CineSeniors aren't a top priority. Sad.

The food was exceptionally yummy and the staff were amazing, they were really helpful and chatty, such a rare things to go anywhere these days and have good service, so i was absolutely blown away! Will definitely be returning, thank you very much! :)

Went here as vue was full our usual cinema, this cinema the seats are hard uncomfortable, squeek everytime you move, 30mins of adverts 3 of which were for the new films, the sound system or (speakers) are shocking I don't even think in screen 2 the speakers were all on, I felt bored watching film due to me being uncomfortable, not feeling like I was sucked in to the big screen like at vue also annoyed that I'd pay to come here, the place was empty & the staff who booked our seats sat us all (strangers) next to each other in an empty screen however staff are lovely but Dont waste your money here go to vue cant see it being open much longer

Been going this cinema on and off for the past 10 - 11 years or so. Even though the seats are getting old. Still a quality cinema. Usual quieter than others and reasonably cheapest.
Doesn't tend to attract as many idiots.

Have seen today that Cineworld Leigh is at risk of closure as part of a cost cutting campaign.
How sad.
I know every time I've been, it has a good crowd - at least as good as any other comparable venue.
Following Hollywood's output pause during Covid, any fool can see there's lag in the sector that can be made up.
Financial backers should be factoring this in as a time to buy cheap shares, not calling in debts.
Support our cinema!

Never been to a cineworld before, generally I go to Vue Cinema, the experience is different In a Vue Cinema their is way more space in the chairs and they recline and way more comfy, now in the cineworld seats they are tight confined and not reclining, but the worst of all watched the new avatar film waited along time to see this film it never finished and a cleaner was bobbing up and down cleaning, cost £45.00 for entrance with snacks and they have no respect for customers,

Seats are very uncomfortable. Service is good. Staff are friendly but paying as much as you do, you would expect a bit more. Though as it's the only cinema in the area you're stuck with what you have.

This is an excellent cinema. Has all the latest technology screens and dolby surround sound . It's never really busy and staff are friendly and helpful. Good choice of food and drinks . Parking is great with lots of spaces just outside the main entrance . Leg room is very good but I feel a seating upgrade is needed as they not the most comfortable....This was screen 6 so not sure if other screens have better seats. Well worth a visit...

Caught some man having a poo in the toilet when he didn't lock the door. ?♂️?♂️?♂️
Expensive compared to other cinemas but pretty good for a local.
Toilets could do some work though. Only have 1 stall in the mens and I get stage fright so I simply cannot use urinals. IT'S AN OUTRAGE.
Oh well.

Cinema is fine, staff really helpful and welcoming. However be aware car parking is limited to 4hrs, we have just received a £60 parking notice as we were over the 4 hrs as we ate at Don Alberto’s (fab food) prior to watching Maverick ( good film and long).
Definitely put us off going to Leigh again which is a shame as so close and we did have a nice evening.

Me and most the people in the room got kicked out, were being swoarn at and no refund just for clapping. We had no warnings, staff were mostly kind but the manager (Mel) was the bad one. I was up against the wall and she was shouting and swearing at me, right in my face. Unpleasant experience.

As its only a small cinema, the biggest problem is the choice of films. Especially when there is a big film on. Quite often with an unlimited card, you have seen everything. Apart from that, great cinema

I have been an unlimited member and frequenting Leigh Cineworld for around 8 years. I am of the senior variety, over 60-- but I am sick and tired of the pre school age kids who work on the tills. They constantly presume I need a senior ticket before I've even asked or shown my unlimited card. I'm sure I'm not the only person who finds this rude and offensive! Anyway have now complained vociferously to head office.

Went to the first public showing of the new Bond film at midnight on Thursday. Good value, clean, friendly team, note the website was flaky using Safari or the phone but worked perfectly on the laptop (issue when selecting payment method just stalled and eventually timed out but may have been a temporary issue). Only observation would be a better selection of beers would be good, other than that very happy.

The cinema has dealt with covid well and it felt very safe in the foyer, food is still being served and toilets are open (allowing for social distancing) the seating is reduced however when we arrived it was clear it was up the tje individual to abide by the distance rule.
Screen and volume was good. Cant fault it, would of been 5 stars if some seats were taped up.
