Tour of Leigh Cemetery
Join us for a tour Leigh Cemetery to look at the stories of some of the civilian graves and Commonwealth War Graves.

Join Tom from Archives: Wigan & Leigh, and Steve from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as we look at some of the interesting stories and personal lives of those buried in Leigh Cemetery. This tour will look at both military and non-miltary persons, and the impact they made on their local community and across the world.
Important Information
The tour will start at 11am and run to approx. 12:30pm. We will meet just inside the cemetery gates. There is a small car park onsite, facing Manchester Road.
Please be aware that there may be some uneven paths and surfaces, especially at this time of year. Please dress appropriately for the weather and autumnal conditions.
The tour is free, but you would be welcome to make a cash donation to the CWGC after the tour. Volunteers, such as Steve, help maintain the Commonwealth War Graves and share the stories of those buried there.
Also check out other Nonprofit events in Leigh.
