After years of having my hair abused (dodgy cuts & dodgy perms) I have finally found the man with the magic scissors- Kevin Colby. My hair looks fabulous one week after the first corrective cut. Kevin and Kanya always listen to me really carefully to understand what I need from my hair. Kevin always takes into consideration my lifestyle, my preferences and how my hair “behaves”, to create a style that suits me. I have been going to Kevin Colby for some time now and the reason I return is because for me personally a hairdressing appointment is a rarity due to work and other commitments. Kevin will sit and LISTEN to what you want and then he advises you on what he feels would be the better option but he always gives his honest opinion and for me this is what I need not someone who just says yes that's fine and hacks away. Kevin will take time to talk you through it and how this would be a better style and cut for my face shape and so on. It's a really professional service him and kanya give the moment you walk through the door. For this reason I would give them 10 stars if it was possible

I discovered Kevin via a friend last October and am very impressed by his skill and knowledge. At other salons, I'd think I'd had a good cut but the effect was due to the finish and disappeared after a week or so. The style was always the same! Kevin listens and responds to my wishes but also has ideas that suit me - I'm looking forward to some great styles. My hair looks good not only on the day it's cut but stays that way until my next visit. Kevin and Kanya make me welcome and I know my hair is in safe hands. Thanks to you both

Kevin is a legend, he has cut and coloured my hair on many occasions. Always a friendly and stylish environment with good conversation. Kevin is also a dab hand in the fashion department too, he will be able to advise of what styles will suit you the most.

My mum has been going to Kevin now for a short while and what she loves about him is the progress Kevin genuinely cares about your hair and what you want he has worked so hard with my mums hair it is now looking thicker and healthier than it ever has before. His advice is superb and he will tell you if he thinks it’s not a good idea. True professional and Kanya is just delightful always smiling always so pleasant to sit and speak with. I would 110% recommend him to anyone he is fantastic

In the past I have had my hair cut from many different barbers , nobody compares to Kevin! He spends quality time on you as a client and study’s your hair , I have never felt more confident in a barber/hairdresser, he gives me guidance and advice on what’s best for me and my style . 10/10 service. Really knowledgeable and is always cut to perfection. Recommend 100%

I recently bought a very expensive hairpiece. This needed very carefully styling. I went to Kevin Colby hairdressing, and WOW what fantastic job he did cutting and styling it. If you buy a hairpiece or wig, I highly recommend going to Kevin. I will be from now on.

My hand was forced when my usual hairdresser could no longer offer appointment, I made an appointment u sure what I would get…. And wow, an amazing personal service, a magnificent cut that everyone comments on, and is still looking good 8 weeks on…… so impressed, likely to be the best cut I have ever had! When I told my family, my mum immediately asked if it would be good for her , I had no hesitation to recommend Kevin and did so! My mum had her hair cut and true to my hunch, her cut was amazing, and I’d say probably the best hair cut I have ever known her to have ! Cannot recommend Kevin enough! I have also been experimenting with colour and style! A wonderful experience and whole heartedly trust the husband and wife team to take control of my hair. So far I have had a straight style and then a volumised style , both great! Yet to try a curly blow dry, this will be my request for todays appt. Faultless experience - reasonably priced too

As someone who’s fashion and tastes differ to that of the norm I had struggled for years to find a hairdresser who truly “gets me” until I met Kevin. After viewing his website I knew this would be a great fit for me and he certainly is. I’ve been a client of Kevin’s for 6 months now and I would not trust anyone else with my hair. He listens to what I want to achieve and sets out a clear path to achieve it. I can throw any curve ball at him for something different I want to try and he’ll adapt with professionalism and excitement. It feels less like a hairdresser/client relationship and more like a partnership in style. I recently introduced my mum to him and he’s worked miracles for her too. I cannot recommend Kevin and the gorgeous Kanya enough, I’m blessed to have found this salon so close to home.

Went to see Kevin with a frizzy lifeless perm and a thinning patch on the top of my head. All perm removed with scissors and a colour added at a later date on Kevin’s advice and what a transformation. My hair looks healthy fuller and my thin patch is so less noticeable. Thank you Kevin and Kanya

I specifically said I had to have a fringe that covered my eyebrows as I have very fine to non existent eyebrows. I said this several times as I HATE my eyebrows. Even when I get them tinted they are terrible. I shut my eyes whilst he cut my fringe so I wouldn't get hair in my eyes. When I opened them I wanted to cry. He had cut my fringe an inch ABOVE my eyebrows! I was so upset I couldn't say anything at first because I thought I would cry. Once I composed myself I told him but obviously all he could do was apologise. The style he cut left the hair long each side of my face which draws attention to the VERY short fringe. I am in my late fifties with a full face. The cut draws attention to my non existent eyebrows and my chin as that is where the hair at the side of my face ends. I expected a reduced price for the major mistake of not listening to my very clear and repeated instructions. However I was charged £40 for a hair cut I hate. I didn't even argue about it because I thought I might cry. I just wanted to get out as soon as I could. It wasnt until after that I remembered mentioning when I booked that he had a 25% off offer in August. I am left wondering what on earth he normally charges!! I don't like leaving bad reviews for small businesses but as every single review is 5* I feel I should warn people to be VERY specific and write instructions down if you visit this salon. I don't wear makeup so penciling my eyebrows on will look very weird so now I am staying home until my fringe grows.

Very knowledgeable and getting lots of compliments on how great my hair looks ?. The salon is calm and clean and the staff look after you. They are very intensive and listen to your needs and wants.

Great Service, I have been going to Kevin since I was 14 years old, have moved away to Uni and now live away, but each time I come home to visit my family, Kevin also gets a visit! He is right up there on style, tells it how it is, listens to what you want and delivers the goods. Thank you Kevin, just wish I didn't live quite so far away these days.

I would highly recommend a haircut by Kevin Colby. Not only did it look excellent but he taught me how to dry my hair in a way that fixes frizz, how to straighten my hair with minimal damage and what products I should use to maintain my hair. I bought the products he recommended and he showed me how to use them, now I look like my hair has been professionally done every time I wake up. Best haircut I’ve ever had and amazing service.

It's been a month since I had my first haircut and colour at Kevin's. Everyday I am still waking up and finding my hair looks the same as if Kevin had just done it, such a great cut. He has made my bad hair days disappear with one snip. I've been looking for the perfect colour for years and finally found it with Kevin who just seems to know what will suit. Kevin is a highly skilled professional who takes time to, not only listen to his clients, but also gently advises on style and colour. He has an in-depth knowledge of all types of hair: long, short, straight or curly and is able to bring out the best in all of them. I have never met anyone who has the skill Kevin has and would strongly recommend everyone to make an appointment. After that first visit, I'm sure they wouldn't go anywhere else.
