Been a couple of times to this fabulous cinema, I’d go a lot more if it was closer to home but it’s worth every mile. It’s a fab experience from being welcomed at the entrance, a drink in the bar then a great seat to watch films not available anywhere else in the vicinity. Everyone should go!

Great local independent cinema which screens international films along with classics. I went to see the French film Untouchable with my mum and the volunteers were very welcoming and the tickets were not too expensive which is always nice.

It's very expensive the same price as the cinema in Manchester. The lift was broken. I am not from Leigh and understand its quite a poverty stricken town so I assume it's more a community film club than a place you would go to watch a film of high quality. For that reason I understand it's a great place for the locals but if you want to watch a film with top quality picture and sound like The Home Cinema or Fact Theatre this isn't the place for you.

Discovering Leigh Film Factory felt like stumbling upon a true hidden gem nestled right in my neighborhood. Tucked within the historic Spinners mill in Leigh, this independent small cinema exudes charm, adorned with remnants of its industrial past, now housing a diverse array of independent businesses spanning martial arts, cinema, theatre, and art.
My inaugural visit to Leigh Film Factory, managed by the Leigh Film Society, was a delightful experience. From showcasing classics and art house films to modern blockbusters, this unique cinema, operated by volunteers, promises a cozy movie outing. The added charm of its own bar service offering a selection of beverages and small snacks elevates the overall experience.
I am undoubtedly planning to revisit and highly recommend this cinematic haven to everyone seeking a distinctive movie-watching escapade."

What a fabulous venue. Arriving at this huge grade 2 listed building (dead easy to reach with free parking) I felt somewhat in awe. The mill is massive, an incredible and a fascinating glimpse of history. It's a bit of a hike and a climb (although there is a lift) to get to the cinema. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The screen is fine and the projection as good as anywhere. The seats are comfortable and there is leg room.
It was terrific to watch two superb old Hammer Horror films. The area has been crying out for such a cinema. I will certainly visit again.

Hidden gem! Literally hidden away in a renovated mill is this independent cinema. The seats are super comfy and the team are friendly and passionate about film.
They do a variety of events, themed weekend, iconic films, new releases, film screenings and Q&As.
I went to their annual film festival, two nights of short films, which was fantastic.
They also have a bar so you can get a beer or a brew and snacks (very responsible prices).
Recommend to all!

Second visit tonight - great atmosphere to watch 'Emily'. You get a 'welcome' introduction before the screening starts. Very comfortable cinema seats, friendly volunteer staff, atmospheric bar where you can buy a drink to take in with you. Highly recommended - a massive improvement on the impersonal multi screen offering. Will be back again soon.

I have attended numerous films at the Film Factory. From Star Wars day to Horror Fest series. This is an Art house style cinema and has warm and friendly staff who are all volunteers. The Film Factory has a wide range of films to suite all tastes with a great bar and you can have a drink ? ? in the cinema ? aswell. Highly recommended and in a great location ?

Been here twice now and will definitely visit again. Friendly and reasonable little bar. The cinema is very comfortable with comfy seats. Screen is a decent size and sound quality is good. You can take your drinks through from the bar to the auditorium, settle in, relax and enjoy the film with a drink. Great.
