The Music Centre

I've been learning piano with The Music Centre for just over a year now and my experience has been amazing. Lucy is a brilliant piano teacher and I always really look forward to my lessons. As an adult learner in my 30s, I was a little apprehensive to start piano lessons but the whole process from booking to attending my first lesson was really straightforward and now I'm so glad that I did, as it's something I'd always wanted to do. I do sometimes get nervous in lessons but Lucy is always really patient and she has helped to build my confidence so much. I couldn't recommend The Music Centre enough!

My boys have been with John and the team since they were 4&5! Youngest 4 on drums (could just about manage the peddles) and eldest 5 on guitar! They’re now 11&13 and on grade 6 both of them! Now ready to take on grade 7 ! I can’t tell you how much the team at the music centre are about giving the kids the best experience it’s down to who ever joins to find that for themselves ?

My granddaughter has guitar lessons and loves it. All the teachers are very considerate, knowledgable and extremely supportive. Their tuition and support has enabled her to play many different songs - her confidence and ability have greatly improved; she is so confident she has taken part in two of the open mic showcases at the age of 11

Been on a studio tour this is the best music centre for miles around.All staff know their stuff they are fabulous musicians.The atmosphere is so welcoming and friendly they make you feel at home.Highly recommended bring your kids or even try it yourself.Love the rolling stones tongue.

The music centre is an incredibly welcoming place with the friendliest staff around. As a family we have experienced both tuneful tots and regular music lessons here. Cannot recommend this place enough.

I take my grandson for a drum lesson sometimes,when his parents are at work,its a very friendly place and the music teachers are very good and fun.

My daughter, Amelia, has been having drum lessons for nearly 3 years and she has developed from a novice to gigging standard. The staff at The Music Centre have always been flexible and accommodating, fitting in with our hectic schedule and I can't thank John and his team enough for the effort they have put in to developing Amelia. I also had guitar lessons for two years and progressed from just playing chords to being able to play scales, arpeggios and reading TAB music. When work permits, I will go back for more lessons.

I've been a student at The Music Centre in Leigh for many years. Since I started, I've taken piano, singing and drums lessons and I couldn't be happier. The atmosphere and the teachers' enthusiasm, professionalism and passion for the music is outstanding! We've also done showcases with other students, and we always have so much fun! Whether you are a beginner or a professional musician, teachers will adapt their approach to your needs and goals. Brilliant place!!

I have been taking lessons at The Music Centre for about 8 years and I have never been dissatisfied at all with the quality of service and lessons provided by any of the teachers there. I would have never reached the high standard of playing (or enjoyed it as much as I have for that matter) without the experience that this incredible centre offers. I reccomend to anyone who is interested in learning an instrument there. ?

My daughter has been having guitar lessons with John for over 5yrs now. The music centre is always professional and has a high teaching standing. They are friendly and always happy to offer advise. Even though my daughter is starting university in September we are still going to carry on the lessons online as we wouldn't trust anyone else to continue her tuition.

Fantastic place for music tuition , staff are extremely knowledgeable and will go out of there way to ensure that you enjoy your lessons and make great progress. They also have a great range in the shop and you can try before you buy. Would not hesitate to recommend.

My son has been attending the music centre for drumming lessons for the past 3 years, he absolutely loves it. John is a great teacher, he quickly understood how Ethan learnt and is very patient. Described by Ethan as the best teacher he has ever had, which shows in the progress he has made. My wife also has piano lessons with John and is very happy with the progress she has made too. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional. We have been kept up to date throughout covid and have managed to continue online lessons whilst lockdown restrictions have been in place, and the building has been closed which we have been grateful for. Always found the team to be very accommodating and helpful.

My daughter has been having lessons here for many years now in guitar, piano and drums and through John’s tuition it has been fantastic to see her love for and knowledge of music grow. In her own words “I wish all my teachers where like John.” They have now expanded to what has become a music store too which sells a wide variety of fantastic new and reconditioned instruments and accessories. The knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer any musical queries you may have and you are also encouraged to try before you buy to ensure you find the perfect instrument for you. The store is a very relaxed and friendly environment and i would recommend a visit to anyone regardless of your musical ability when i guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
