Absolutely awesome stadium to attend a match at, especially the Leigh Leopards but Manchester United Womens and U21's matches are held there too. When the Leopards are playing there, the atmosphere is absolutely amazing as well as the pre match build up which includes fireworks, flags being waved and awesome music. Design of stadium makes for good acoustics. Concourses nice and modern, not dated looking like at other stadia. Accessibility is great too, as there are well signposted accessible toilets in every concourse and every entrance to the stands is level access. Very autism friendly as well, I for one as an autistic supporter of Leigh Leopards have been let in through the exit gate on two occasions as the stewards thought I found the turnstiles overwhelming. Another thing the stewards do is offer a limited number of ear defenders on match days for autistic supporters (I usually bring my own). Very fun and accessible way to experience rugby league (and women's/academy football too!).

Leigh Sports Village: A Local Gem
Leigh Sports Village, a modern, state-of-the-art facility nestled in the heart of Leigh, has quickly established itself as a premier venue for sporting events and community gatherings. Its combination of accessibility, affordability, and top-notch facilities has made it a popular choice for both spectators and participants alike.
One of the most appealing aspects of Leigh Sports Village is its convenient location and ample parking. The stadium is easily accessible by both car and public transport, and the on-site parking facilities ensure that visitors can arrive and depart with minimal hassle. The proximity of the parking areas to the entrance means that fans can quickly and easily make their way into the stadium, avoiding the long walks or crowded walkways often associated with larger venues.
Another factor that contributes to the appeal of Leigh Sports Village is the affordability of its food and drink offerings. Unlike many stadiums where concessions can be prohibitively expensive, Leigh Sports Village provides fans with a range of options at reasonable prices. This allows visitors to enjoy a meal or refreshment without breaking the bank, making it a more accessible and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The stadium's excellent floodlighting system is another feature that deserves praise. The high-quality lighting ensures that matches can be played under optimal conditions, even in the late afternoon or evening. This is particularly important for night matches, as it allows spectators to fully appreciate the action and atmosphere without being hampered by poor visibility.
While Leigh Sports Village offers many advantages, it is not without its drawbacks. One of the most common complaints is the difficulty of exiting the car park after a busy match. The traffic congestion and limited exit points can sometimes lead to long wait times and frustration for departing visitors. However, it is important to note that this issue is often exacerbated by the popularity of the stadium and the large number of people attending events.
Despite the occasional traffic congestion, Leigh Sports Village remains a fantastic venue for sporting events and community gatherings. Its combination of accessibility, affordability, and top-notch facilities make it a standout destination for both locals and visitors. Whether you are a passionate sports fan or simply looking for a great place to spend an evening, Leigh Sports Village is sure to impress.

Whilst I’ve never actually been inside the stadium at Leigh Sports Village, I have played football on the outdoor pitches and also visited the Morrisons store next door. The village is a very good place to play football, the pitches are well maintained. The Morrisons store is also a very good store, just the right size and nice and clean.

Only ever go here when they hold the cat shows.
Parking is easy enough, with disabled spaces. Food is lovely here. Hot lunch I had was exceptional good & was very hot as well.

Great venue for sports as it is big enough, yet small enough that you feel close to the action.
Such a shame they insist on being cashless. Since it went cashless I have stubbornly not bought a single item. I can easily cope with a drink and food before I go in then wait a couple of hours.
I used to pay with a card most of the time but cash should always be an option.
I work with people with special needs. Some don't actually have a card option.
I am also teaching them to handle physical money which is impossible with a card.
I don't consider it 'inclusive' in this respect.
"We prefer card payments where possible" should be on the sign.

I really like Leigh Sports village as a stadium. Reasonably priced food and drink, parking practically outside the front door and well floodlit.
Bear in mind after a busy match it’s awkward getting out of the car park can be a nightmare. But stadium itself is great

Great venue with friendly staff and efficient security. We come here quite regularly for United Women’s games. As we don’t drive it’s a bit of a pain to get to, but well linked to the city centre by the V1 bus, and easy walking distance from Leigh bus station. Refreshments are quite expensive, as can be expected from anywhere hosting sports matches, but I know for a lot of venues like this refreshment markup is a core source of income so I understand why they have to do this. Really love LSV’s commitment to assisting autistic visitors too, both with well-trained staff on-site and through having a virtual tour and extensive information online to help autistic visitors prepare for their visit. Not a lot of places do this, and I really appreciate it.

Great sports facility. . Ladies and men’s under 21 football. Home to Leigh Rugby League teams. Pies and pints better than many bigger stadiums around the country.A long trip from central Manchester. Worth the price if a taxi.

Great stadium to attend and watch our Womans footballers with Manchester United v Arsenal on a Friday night, over 8,000 fans.
Be well aware of road congestion an hour before kick off, and parking is a nightmare, living in Westhoughton only 6 miles away took us a good 60 mins to drive and park up and get in the stadium on Friday night...no public transport available either...

The sports village at the heart of nature. This is what dreams are made of. The staff are nice, the area gives you the feel of some sort of a resort, and boy are they personal when it comes to keeping the place clean. You don’t have to view a game to fall in love with this place cause it makes you fall in love with it.

It was my first time ever at a football match, lol, and I'm so glad I went! Man U women's team was bloody awesome, and I managed to record a goal.. I'm going to seriously cherish this memory! Didn't think I'd be as loud as I was? 3-0. What an amazing day! The weather was brilliant as well. The only reason for giving 4 stars is due to the fact that they remove the lids of the bottles. I mean, I ain't one to keep hold of things, and I noticed that neither are other people as there were spillages on the steps. FYI to the staff, please just leave the cap on a drink bottle and prevent any hazards.
Other than that, the stadium was wow, and we could sit anywhere in the stand.
One of the funny things was when we were all requested to stand for the national anthem as it had been the coronation 2 days prior, but no one knew the words until the end, when the people in the stand to the right of us, said "God save the king" I mean???♀️ sorry, but a lot of us couldn't help but laugh ? if any royal fans happen to see this. Sorry.
Thanks to the Man U womens team and the lovely staff at this place who were so helpful. Got myself some merch too - how could I not.. ??? women brought it home, and they gave it their all, if not more on this day also.

Lovely, modern facility. On site are a sports stadium, other sports facilities, Morrisons Supermarket, The Whistling Wren pub.
On the flip side, ladies beware, the toilets at the stadium are some of the worst I've ever seen - I've been in better public toilets in the middle of nowhere! Stainless steel with no toilet seat (and this is the intentional design, not a vandalised facility). Make sure you pack your She-Wee or a Tena Lady ?

We attended to host a corporate some football match , we all had fun and enjoyed the event. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I actually injured my ankle and staff were a great help, with James the duty manager bringing out some ice packs and looking after me "thanks James"
Great experience "besides the the ankle that is" lol

I always enjoy coming to watch the footie here as the stadium is really family-friendly and not so daunting for the younger children. The problem is the lack of parking! End up parking on the nearby streets (legally of course!) only to get yelled at by the disgruntled residents. I fully appreciate it must be frustrating for them, but my only other option (not knowing the area) was to drive home and lose the money paid for the ticket. Hopefully, the organisers will arrange a park and ride or something to resolve the situation for the bigger matches as it puts me off coming back!

First time I’ve been here to use the swimming pool . It was a fun and floats and was a good experience. We found the water was warm. Just about enough floats for the amount of people present. Nice changing rooms, not really enough showers though. Plenty of parking

Great little ground. Attended to watch Women's Euros and really enjoyed it. We had a Blue badge parking space near the ground, stewards on hand to direct. Accessibility was top quality with lifts up to the gantry for the wheelchair spaces. These were on the half way line so we had a great view. The atmosphere was excellent. The large screen was clear and informative though the pa system could be improved for its audio quality.
The ground itself is just one part of a Sports Village containing all types of activities and clubs for the community. A good resource.
However, food provision was poor - nothing around the ground which is unusual for a football match. Most fans ended up in Morrisons which is on site. Food inside the ground was awful - a terrible burnt, tasteless pie - and expensive!

Decent enough venue, 3 stand with seating, one with standing space (North). Useful video screen in SE corner. Good standard PA system.
Can be an absolute mess for traffic leaving events, effectively one road in, one road out, or back streets through small residential roads.

This ground is definitely on a par with most League 1 grounds.
It has a reasonable amount of free parking, though its entrance is shared with a relatively large Morrisons supermarket.
The seats are comfortable with unobstructed views of the pitch.
The concourse behind the seats is not the largest but contains an obligatory food/drinks and usual facilities.

Very poor parking best of luck getting out they just stand around in groups watching people going nowhere when a little organisation could work wonders. And don't buy the pies unless you want to burn yourself. Hot enough to leave blistering when you get gravy on you.

Had my vaccine here Thursday just gone. Started off as a professional set up, always knew where to go and who to talk to as the communication used was really good. However the downside was in the observation area, the staff member on there didn't seem as approachable as the other staff members and spent alot of time crouched rather than standing and observing the people in the waiting area.
