It's not a very big store but always manage to get what I need from here and the staff are always polite and helpful. Plenty of parking on the retail park.

Cage that advised for dwarf hamsters for a cage I wanted got to the till I couldn’t buy it because apparently it would break her feet why advertise it then it’s stupid don’t advertise it if it’s not for them and they also said dwarf hamsters aren’t diggers when that’s what hamsters do if you don’t know what animals do you shouldn’t work there

Very helpful and pleasant staff. I managed to get things there that were not available elsewhere. So, all in all, I had a good shopping experience. The store is all at ground level, disabled parking, and store access.

Rang around 5 or 6 pet shops, after one of our Guinea Pigs passed away, to try to locate a new friend...got through to Pets at Home in Leigh, who had a lovely boy who had been returned to them (through no fault of his own) and took him home. The young lady who helped us was very knowledgeable and seeing how much she cared for the animals was lovely. Would definitely recommend visiting (our dog, Uma, got some nice treats too, so lots available for creatures big and small).

Went for a pet demonstration which was rushed and we were in the way of other customers which got annoying quickly when they needed something that you're sat infront of. My son (2) needed to use the restroom and was told we had to use another locations facilities so he ended up having a poo in the middle of the walkway outside and became very upset. A lady we didn't know was helping to clean him up because he was so distraught he wouldn't walk the rest of the way to the other shop and was covered in poo. Disgraceful if you're doing an event for children they should be able to use the facilities.

Ok store but staff are not great, quite rude and dismissive and the queues in this branch are bad, you have to wait ages even when it's quiet. Also very lacking in any kind of fish knowledge - please buy fish from an aquatics store where you can be advised properly

Had a wonderful experience with the staff at Leigh pets at home a few weeks back. I adopted little white Elsie (now renamed Miffy) and she is getting along so well with my Sherlock. He was on his own for over a year and she has brought life back into him. It's lovely to see them both together. She enjoys having the run of the house! I appreciate the staffs knowledge and kindness. They all went above and beyond, made us aware of her vet history but assured us that she has been fully health checked. She is the happiest bunny! Thank you for letting me take care of her for the rest of her bunny years ?

I have shown them how I have a house for the rabbits and they are going to buy food, drink and straw for the rabbits but they tell me that the trip is 40 minutes, it is too long and the rabbit gets stressed and they do not want to sell it to me, its behavior is quite bad with me , one girl is red air with glasses, and the other tell me is the team leader to shop is very bad personas about me .

Every time I have been to this store the service at the till seems to be incredibly slow. I can be waiting in the queue for far longer than I would be at any other store. I do not understand why it takes so long to serve people. Additionally, I have experienced the staff refusing to sell a products they have brought onto the floor, because they haven't been "scanned in." This also baffles me: a shop is refusing to sell products which haven't been reserved.

Large carpark with disabled bays. The store was also large, with a big selection of dog products and a lift for prams etc. Upstairs there is a grooming parlour with a reception for inquiries. Also stocks all the cat's products. At the entrance is the live pets rabbits chinchilla etc. The staff was well-informed and friendly.

Great range of dog foods, treats and toys for our two dogs. Staff always very nice and.helpful and offer great discounts when sign up to VIP. Free items available at times also.

The choice of stock is good, the app gives you good deals and the staff are very helpful. Only downside, I wish they'd keep the animals in larger spaces, as some of them are way too small and will give people the impression that it's okay to keep rodents in tiny cages.

By far the worse pet shop we’ve ever been too. Firstly it smells. Secondly the staff are SO rude and unhelpful. Thirdly, we was there to by some Guppys (small fish) on offer for 3 for £12 it’s literally impossible to buy anything from here, the rather unprofessional orange haired girl started asking the following questions using an iPad:- What’s your first name? What’s your postcode? What’s your door number? What’s your surname? What’s your email address? What do you do for work? What’s your mobile number? How long are you out for? When will you be going home? I’m sorry, but WHAT THE HELL HAS IT GOT TO DO WITH YOU HOW LONG I AM OUT FOR? So… WHY do you need to know where I live? Absolutely PATHETIC!!!!!! Will NOT be shopping at any of your stores again!

Feels cramped and cluttered, with the poorest selection I've seen in any pets at home. I would recommend spending an extra bit of time in the car to avoid a wasted trip, or visit poundstretcher/the range/home bargains/b&m that are all very close before getting any last bits at pets at home... If you have to.

Small but perfectly formed. If you need slight more specific/specialist pet food these guys might have what you need. If not order on line and pickup from here, there is plenty of parking. The staff are nice and friendly and the prices are moderate

Worst pet store I've been too for multiple reasons. 1. There's was a ran snake with a color called Jim chasing rabbits 2. The dogs where being constantly harassed by many cats there 3. There were lizards climbing in the ceiling and falling on peoples head. 4. Lastly the spicy cheetos there where actually dog food

I have dog food on repeat deliver which didn’t arrive. I rang customer service who refunded the money but my dogs were left with no food. We went to pets at home Leigh and the staff were wonderful they were so helpful and happy. The best thing was the manager I assume he was as after I told him about having to come out when I am clinically vulnerable gave us one of the packs of dog food as compensation. I was gobsmacked! More than customer services offered. The manager guy with glasses then helped us carry food etc to the car. The leigh store deserves an award in these times for being happy helpful and responsive to customers. Well done leigh staff and thank you for all your help
