Ride in ride out service. Checked tyres were in stock via 'phone and had them fitted the same day. Watched the removal and fitting - great care taken, no damage to rims, all relevant parts greased, and competitively priced. Will use no-one else for bike tyres from now on.

Great place, plenty of tires in stock and the change was done quickly and professionally, the free coffee was appreciated! Only thing I’d say is maybe consider a proper booking / appointment system to avoid long waits.

I have been using SMD Tyres now for a number of years for new tyres and puncture repairs. I have always had great service at very competitive prices. My partner needed two new tyres for her car, so we turned up one morning and parked on their parking area right in front of the garage. The fitting would take about 40 minutes, so we went into Leigh for a few bits and pieces. When we returned, my partner's vehicle had been parked on double yellow lines by an employee of SMD. The local authority has very inconveniently put double yellow lines on the road to the garage. Fortunately, we never received a parking ticket. I don't like to think about what would have happened had we received a ticket. I will still use SMD tyres in the future. However, I will wait with the vehicle to prevent any issues of parking when the job has been done.

Took my van to fill up with air at Morrisons - the machine ripped my valve clean out and emptied the tyre! Gave these guys a ring (not realising it was motorbike tyres?). Told me he could have somebody out within 30mins. Less than 20mins later the guy was there. Took my wheel off, attempted to get my spare down - but carrier wouldn't budge - so took my wheel with him to repair. Back within 30mins, wheel back on. Even attempted the spare carrier again with some oil - but wasn't playing. Absolutely fantastic service and great price. Funny thing is, I actually need a tyre repairing on my motorbike - so I now know exactly where I'll be going. Cheers again lads!

Friendly efficient service as always at SMD! You can select tyres online and date/time for fitting for your convenience. Alternatively you can ring up and enquire for a specific tyre brand/model and you will always receive a competitive price.

Took my wheel in to put an innertube in that I took to them charged me 20 quid and I got my wheel back with missing bearings they told me that they fell out in the shop and they put them back in but they must have fell out on my way home and that I must have them in wrong even though they supposedly put them back in properly

It would be nice if they would speak with you and tell you what they gone do with your tyre... but they don't... i tried to stay in and watch what they are doing but they throw me out of there... so probably they charge me for different things and they've done something else... not coming here anymore

A hidden gem, what a brilliant place for all bike tyres. Check they have your choice of tyre then just turn up. Prices can't be beaten. They were £103 less than my lowest of three dealer quotes. Really looked after my bike, no scratches or chips on wheels or swing arms. Ask for Barney, top bloke!

After calling round several other local tyre shops who all said I need to leave the motorbike with them all morning/afternoon, I found the total opposite at SMD. They told me I could ride up and get sorted. Onarrival a few customers being dealt with, and I was spoken to and work arranged to take place while I waited. 1st star. Then when working on my bike, the fitter took great care and checked dates on tyres, brake wear, sponle and fixings condition, 2nd star. On inspecting the tyre and removing it for repair, they checked if I was happy for a new tube or just a patch. This is great as sometimes a customer might not afford a new tube, 3rd star. Before reassembling the bike all parts where thoroughly cleaned and regressed where needed. 4th star. Fitter then carefully reassembled cleaned the fitted items and work area before checking I was happy, showed me to desk to pay which was seemless. 5th star. I would definitely recommend SMD and was very happy with the service, attitude and value for money. Thanks for sorting me puncture out and keeping me mobile.

Motorcycle tyres ?, awesome lots of tyres stocked, they just said “turn up and we will fit them” they took the wheels off the bike at no extra cost, fitted the tyres and made the bike safe to ride away. Absolute Top Service

After a quick phone call to check the price and availability of a tyre for my bike, I rode down to have the work done. Very friendly staff. New tyre fitted and bike ready to go in about ten minutes!! Very impressed with them. Which is why I've been baccck for three more tyres since that first one.

After enquiring on the phone prior to making the trip there I was informed there wasn't an appointments system in place and to just turn up and wait, it may be a little longer as it was a busy Bank Holiday Weekend. I arrived and parked at entrance, before I'd got off the bike there was an employee at my side checking out tyres. After a brief conversation he went inside to check if they had a different tyre in stock, Michelin Pilot Road 6's. They were and he promptly wheeled my bike in and after a short wait they were fitted and I was off on my travels (After paying of course ?) Can't fault the service or speed my tyres were fitted. I'd Happily recommend to friends. Thank you.

Charged me 35 pound to fit a tyre to the bike. Figured they charged me so much because I didn't purchase my tyre from them. Won't use again. Extortionate price for 10 minutes work and in comparison to other shops that charge 15 pounds to fit to the bike or 10 pound to a loose wheel.

Can't thank these guys enough. Woke up this morning to a flat tyre. Brilliant start to a Monday morning I manage to pump it up enough to get me to their place. I arrived 10 mins before they opened and sat in my car till the shutters went up I had no appointment booked. Just turned up. The guy I spoke to was quick to get me sorted he jumped straight on my car wheel off and tyre fixed ballance and a new valve fitted. I was on my way to work within 25 mins. And they are cheaper. Than others in the area. Thanks again guys for. Getting me mobile again.
