My Daughter and partner had their baby shower here, we had a lovely day, was a great atmosphere everything was well organised, clean and tidy, the staff that was on were so polite and very helpful throughout the afternoon, we all had a great time

Been a few times to The Lock Cocktail Bar. Courtney is warm and welcoming. The cocktails are great value with a huge range to choose from, there are often specials on offer but I always go for my favorites whiskey sour or old fashioned! Highly recommended even if you’re new to cocktails!

Give your girls a raise! We've been in a few times but most memorable is tonight (30/07) and the queens jubilee weekend. The 2 barmaids were just fantastic. Great to chat to, positive and so accommodating. Drinks are great, good value and awesome staff. Will definitely recommend xx

Booked room for daughters baby shower. Worked really well and the barmaid was lovely, couldn't have been more helpful. Would use again for small event.

Really rude and ignorant bar staff member, like she was doing you a massive favour pouring you a drink. If you buy a single with a mixer you get it served in a tiny egg cup.

Great environment for drinks. Modern deco and interior. Staff very attentive and the drinks are great. This is one of the few decent bars in Leigh. A little tip to the team would be that the incense burning smell is not that fitting for a cocktail bar. Maybe try some essential oils rather than incense. Other than this, there is nothing to fault. A must visit cocktail bar in Leigh.

I have been quite a few times and it used to be really good, there is live music on a Friday which is always decent. I have been tonight to enjoy a couple of cocktails and music but the drinks were a big let down. I got an old fashioned which has always been good here but tonight it felt like it was rushed and tasted pretty bitter, a little bit too bitter. My partner got a cocktail called the bramble and this didn't taste great either. When we have cocktails they usually use crushed ice when serving but at the lock now they just mix it all and may as well serve the drinks in the cocktail shakers. May just be a bad night but it was pretty poor cocktail making tonight. On a good note, atmosphere was still great and live music was decent too.

On the positive side this is probably the only place in Leigh where you can get real cocktails rather than the out of can types served in a lot of pubs. However for the prices charged I would expect the bar staff to have more knowledge of cocktails. Nobody knew what a dry martini was and instead of asking the ingredients they said they would have a go and proceeded to make up a cocktail instead. On querying this and explaining what a dry martini was I was told they couldn't make it anyway as they don't stock Vermouth. Whilst I appreciate in a small bar they can't stock all cocktail bases I thought Vermouth would be a must for any cocktail bar. I feel they are trying to replicate Manchester city centre cocktail bars which in terms of price they have managed but have fallen short on delivery of quality.
