Very underwhelming experience. I can't judge the food as we didn't even get that far. Waited over 20 mins to be seated in a half empty restaurant. Staff sat us in a corner and ignored us. Restaurant wasn't busy and staff looked bored at times. Ended up leaving, hope this isn't the norm for this place. Apparently walking into a restaurant for food is asking for too much.

Very very lovely food! Amazing place near center of Leigh. Easy free parking As a local Italian it is really nice recommend the lasagna with the garlic bread starter (the size of the starter needs at least 2 more like 3). Lovely staff and authentic service. Wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. One of the best Italians outside of Italy

Food was excellent as always. Need more staff as the waitress was very busy, ordered a drink but it never turned up to the table, but was on the bill. Waited 20 minutes for the bill after asking. Ended up going to the bar to pay as the waitress was busy elsewhere.

Fabulous, friendly service from staff and owner. The food quality is outstanding and generous portion sizes. The restaurant itself is wonderfully decorated with an ambience that immediately puts you at ease. Feels strange to have this place in Leigh because you feel like you're a world away when you're there.

Called in for dinner with my little girl after visiting pennington flash. Don’t live local so never been before but can honestly say I’m glad we went here. Great food and the staff brilliant especially with my 9 year old daughter who said she wanted to go back even before the food came out. Will definitely be coming back next time we are anywhere near Leigh I would probably drive from Bury just for the garlic bread with cheese ?

Visited for dinner, we enjoyed starters, mains and desserts. The food was delicious, the staff were very attentive. All in all we had a wonderful evening, I would recommend visiting the restaurant.

We had a beautiful dining experience with the most friendliest of staff. the food is delicious, highly recommend the goats cheese pastry with salad! the penne and linguine con gambas are also divine. I want to especially thank Pepe and Miguel for making us feel special and welcome and for accommodating our dietary needs. Amazing selection of desserts! If I ever find myself in Leigh again, I shall visit this restaurant again.

We often call here for a family meal, the pizza and garlic bread are exceptional, the kids love it. Last night however we went kiddie free. My other half had the lasagne, I had the spinich and ricotta cannelloni and we shared a garlic bread and a mixed salad. It was absolutely stunning! So tasty and just the right amount.The atmosphere was great, the service was great ? would highly recommend ?

Really good restaurant. I had a three course meal around £30. Portion size was good, very filling! Staff are amazing and professional. Only criticism is that the room is dimly lit, kinda hard to see the menu and food.

Delicious food, can't fault it. Had a issue with the card reader, it broke and the girl said it was the only one so had to go to a nearby ? I wish they gave you more tiramisu, it was bloody lovely ?

The staff here a pretty amazing! They interact with the customers on a personal level like you've been mates for years. The fact that they serve amazing food as well makes it definitely worth a visit and many more return visits. Thank you so much for your hospitality on 4th November and for the candle lit profiteroles whilst singing happy birthday to myself and my twin sister which was a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated. All of you keep being you because you're ace!!!!

We went for our grandsons 21st meal. The restaurant is nice and comfortable. The food was delicious, some of our party had starters, we had a variety of dishes including pizzas and pastas, all very very good and tasty. I had one of the chicken dishes, the sauce was soooo good, as were the lovely veg and potatoes . They also provided gluten free for our other grandson and gave him ice cream as he couldn't have the cake They kindly provided plates and a knife for the cake, which some restaurants don't. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant. We live too far away to go regularly but will return when visiting again.

Visited for Dinner at around 6:30pm. The place was not too busy. we were seated right in front of the open kitchen. I love watching the chefs putting meals together. Even while they were toiling away, there was a visible passion for the food they were preparing. Our order: Starters: BRUSCHETTA FUNGHI BRUSCHETTA DON ALBERTO’S CALAMARI FRITTI Mains: LINGUINE PESCATORE T-BONE STEAK - WIth Peppercorn sauce on the side, which I did not touch becaue the meat was so flavourful and cooked just the way I like it Medium-Rare. FILETTO ROSSINI Desert & Drinks: Cannoli Tiramisu Lemonade Valpolicella Classico 2021

I had the most amazing steak! I couldn’t believe the flavour it was cooked to perfection. Honestly 20 out of 10 ! The staff were all amazing and made sure that everything was ok and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you all so much will definitely be returning (Sorry the picture doesn’t justify the flavour)

We had Bruschetta pomodoro, Bruschetta Don Alberto's and Pate Don Alberto's which is homemade chicken liver pate with cranberry sauce as starters. They were all very refreshing and the liver pate was really good! I tried Risotto Frutti Di Mare, mixed seafood risotto last time, so this time I tried Ravioli Aragosta, ravioli stuffed with lobster in creamy tomato sauce with prawns, didn't taste much lobster, but the sauce with prawns is outstanding! Linguine Amatriciana, pasta with king prawns with white wine butter sauce, Risotto Frutti Di Mare are my favourite! Highly recommended! Deserts were all sold out, so next time!

Went over a year ago and it was wonderful but will not be returning after our last experience. I left feeling nauseous, my partner was physically sick, the staff were nice enough but didn't know what they were doing. We got the house soup, and bbq ribs for starters And a sea bass and carbonara for mains which we did not finish because they were horrid. And it cost just under 80 quid!

This is a posh restaurant that doesn't have a dress code (in the day anyways). But you could really dress up and not feel over dressed. We were a large party and we all enjoyed the food and Bruno, who has a very dry sense of humour and was lovely. The menu doesn't really give you much in the way of vegan and or gluten free but if you ask for it they will supply it without a fuss and my vegan gluten free meal was delicious. All the portions were bountiful. We would definitely go back there...

Fabulous service, everyone is super helpful and friendly. Food is insanely delicious, and the price is brilliant! The atmosphere and general look of the place is amazing too, with a cute little outdoors area! Honestly not been this impressed with a restaurant in a long while. however vegetarian options are slightly limited, but the options you have all sound delicious not just bog basic like you get in a lot of places.

Meal was very good i had the steak and pattie. It was cooked to perfection. My other 3 friends all enjoyed there meals as well. Yes we would go back again. No problem just please get my larger shandy right 1st time. The Honey Comb Cheese cake desert was also very good. Top marks to you all. ?

Our steak and risotto were delicious. Team we’re friendly and polite and while service was slow they did keep checking on us. Lovely outside area next to the canal. We went to eat before the cinema and didn’t realise there’s a 5hr limit on free car parking at the Looms - big shock to receive a parking notice a £60 fine a week later.

We have just been for wedding anniversary meal, myself, husband and two girls. This was our first visit and I can honestly say I wasn't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and kept our little ones entertained with their jokes and all round loveliness. The food was absolutely gorgeous too! We did have a little wait in-between meals, but we weren't bothered or hardly noticed because of the chilled out relaxed atmosphere! lovely place! We will definitely be back! Thankyou so much!!

This is the second time visiting and both times have been great. All of the staff are amazing, Sal the manager, Brogan and Alessandro our servers, Pepe, Alexa, Cristina, I can’t remember everyone’s names! All of them were great and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Not to mention that the food was delicious! Cannot fault it! Will definitely be back here again, I think this might be our new place of choice for special occasions!

Top place this. Food is unbelievable! Talent chefs at this place! Owner fitted us in as we hadn't booked, staff were brilliant. There's so much to choose from on the menu. A suggestion would be to choose from 3 dishes on the menu and have little plates of the 3 choices? Food is excellent!

Great food at good prices. We had a party of 9 on a busy night and we were seated at the correct booking time with plenty of room. Starters were bought out fairly quickly and nearly all together. Wonderful food and great variety as we all had different starters. Main meals were wonderful and staff very attentive to all our needs. Even extra chillies on some meals. Drinks served quickly and we were not rushed out. A fantastic place and very reasonable... we will be back there soon.

Prompt, attentive and extremely friendly service in very comfortable surroundings, this was our first time here at Don Alberto's. Sunday night was just busy enough to create a lovely warm atmosphere but not overly rushed busy in any way. Calamari and the Goats cheese were the starters and very tasty they were. Very freshly cooked too. Fillet steak and the Salami pasta for mains both exceptionally tasty and well cooked. Great experience, well worth a visit.

We went to this resteraunt Sunday evening after a recommendation from a friend....we were not disappointed! What a fabulous place we had a drink at the bar whilst we waited a few minutes for our table. The resteraunt itself is clean and very stylish it had a great atmosphere. There are a variety of dishes to choose from and you can see the cooking station from your table! Our food came quickly and was absolutely gorgeous! The staff are courteous and attentive we had such a lovely evening we will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend the Tiramusu delicious!!!

The food here is fantastic. Its leigh towns best kept secret. If it was located in Manchester city centre it would be a roaring success even more. Great family run Italian. 10 out of 10 If done a few Italian restaurants in Italy and this is fabulous.

Food was fantastic. Service was lacking. After being seated we waited half an hour without menus or place settings. Once I'd asked for menus the waiters were very attentive and the food soon arrived. We were very happy with the flavours and food quality. We ordered more drinks and the small glass of wine came back as a large glass (I drank it and paid full price). We waited a considerable amount of time after asking for the bill before I went to the bar and asked again. Despite the service problems I will return

Food is okay, starter is great! Service was a bit dismal as half are walking around unsure. One member of staff didn't even know what products are on the menu. Only one fellow who knows his job well and provides excellent service but didn't catch his name. We had an eligible discount code to use when paying but we was told to 'just pay please'.

Found this by chance as were nearby for the afternoon. Spotlessly clean establishment, a warm friendly welcome on arrival and impeccable service throughout. Our starters and mains were absolutely divine. Definitely up there with the tastiest authentic Italian food I have eaten. I wish we lived nearer!

We arrived to the restaurant at 8pm for a table at 20:30. Table was ready so we just all sat down after ordering drinks at the bar. The party was for 24 people but they'd only made the table for 22. Once that was sorted, we all sat down and waited on our starters as we had such a large group, we had pre-ordered everything. Took a while for the starters to arrive but couldn't fault my starter which was King Prawns, lovely. Then we waited a while again for our main meals to arrive but again this was probably down to having a large group/party. I had Salmon for my main which got to be honest, my plate looked sad as there wasn't a lot there for £17.00, think I had more on my starter than my main. I also asked for the childrens meals to come out with the starters but they didn't so the kids had to wait. Drinks were ok, didn't really have a price menu for glasses of Prosecco only bottles but they serve it by the glass. Ordered some ice cream for 1 of the children which took over 30 mintues to arrive and I had to ask 3 times for it to be sent over. All in all, I would go back but maybe in a smaller party as I think they'd cope better. ?

We had a lovely St.Valentine's Day lunch of Pizza Marinara and Grilled Salmon followed by Oreo Cheesecake and Tiramisu. All perfect and authentic. Also enjoyed chatting in Italian to the staff! Very friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely return soon.

Great food , but service was poor. Different people taking our order some waitresses looked miserable , first drinks ordered were missed and had to order again , when splitting the bill into 3 payers they took 4 payments and the guy with the card payment said he only takes for the money and doesn't see the bill ??? Guess we could of paid £10 each then pal ?? Got it refunded but I would rush to go back

When we arrived asked us name behind us 3 people asked them also their name and booking the. Said follow me tried to sit us down then, them at different table looked like try to save them walking up and down restaurant, service very poor hand mussels no wipes or finger bowel hand fillet steak special paste which was lovely, if I had to disprove this restaurant service extremely poor, food is good but again when having a desert given a tea spoon to eat it with will definitely not be going back

Came here as a group of 13 (mixed adults and children) for my fiancees birthday meal. The service was excellent, drink orders were done straight away and the servers were brilliant. The food was delicious, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. We will definitely be returning, it was a really enjoyable evening. Thank you :)

Visited for the first time last night for a birthday celebration, service started poorly with missing starters and placing of orders only to be told later that they didn’t have what we had ordered, but think the young girl serving us was new so can be forgiven - but the food more than made up for it - there was an older guy who took over serving us - what a gem he was. Made our night, such a character - won’t be the last time we visit!
