I visited this restaurant for the first time last week and I was very excited as I had heard nothing but praise about it from the locals, but when I entered, I was met with what I would describe as a very unwelcoming atmosphere. The owner kept staring at me in a way which made me uncomfortable, and then when I placed my order, he approached me and made this peculiar grunting noise like some kind of feral animal, in fact, rather like a wallaby in mating season. It was quite startling and, I must say, highly peculiar. At first, I thought I might have imagined it, but then he did it a second time, and a third time, and then sporadically throughout my entire time there.
Eventually, it put me off to such an extent that I felt I had no choice but to get up and leave, which I proceeded to do, leaving my meal at the table, which, I have to say, was far too salty, as well as undercooked and overpriced. But then, worst of all, as I was leaving, he came right up close to me - so close that I felt it was an invasion of my personal space - took a sharp intake of breath, and let out one big, long exhale of a grunt, and then whispered something under his breath, which I didn't quite catch, but sounded like, "I'll get you, woke corbinites", which I didn't really understand, but it sounded like a threat. Avoid this place at all costs. Utterly bizarre behaviour!

Tell me...for whom do you fight? Hmph! How very glib. And do you believe in Twentyman's? Twentyman's's unity is forged of falsehoods. Its channels are built on deceit. And its ideology is an instrument of deception. It is naught but a cobweb of lies. To believe in Twentyman's is to believe in nothing. In Twentyman's, Andrew often summons gods to fight in his stead--though your comrades only rarely respond in kind. Which is strange, is it not? Are the "local guides" not otherwise engaged? I was given to understand they were your protectors. If you truly believe them your guardians, why do you not repeat the trick that served you so well at Tripadvisor, and call them down? They will answer--so long as you lavish them with posts and gorge them with reacts. Your gods are no different from those of the Duchy--eikons every one. Accept but this, and you will see how Twentyman's's faith is bleeding the land dry. Nor is this unknown to your masters. Which prompts the question: why do they cling to these false deities? What drives even men of learning--even the great Hodges--to grovel at their feet? The answer? Your masters lack the strength to do otherwise! For the world of Posters to mean anything, Posters must own the world. To this end, they hath fought ever to raise himself through conflict--to grow rich through conquest. And when the dust of posters settles, it is ever the strong who dictate the fate of the weak. Knowing this, but a single path is open to the impotent ruler-- that of false worship. A path which leads to enervation and death. Only a man of power can rightly steer the course of civilization. And in this land of creeping mendacity, that one truth will prove its salvation. It is only right that I should take your realm. For none among you has the power to stop me! Come, champion of Twentyman's, face me! Your defeat shall serve as proof of my readiness to rule!

This isn't any old run of the mill pizza place, this is your Andrew Twentman's Artisan Bakery and Pizza place. THE best pizza place for miles & miles around. A MUST GO place.
edit : I've noticed that the owner has been well and truly trolled by some reviewers who have obviously not been to the restaurant but have a political agenda. I've also reported the troll reviews.
Believe me, this place is well worth a visit.

I know about the affair Andrew. I've always known. And here's something you didn't know. You got my wife pregnant. The boy is 8 now. Since that boy was born I've given him nothing but love. And in return he looks at me, smiles, and says "I love you dad". There is nothing quite like being a father Andrew. All those moments as you watch them grow up, you are there to celebrate their victories and help them back up after any failure. The love is pure and unconditional. You will never know that. And this is my revenge Andrew. What should have been the best days of your life are mine now. All the love you would have received, I have taken that from you. I have stolen your joy.
The pizza was really good

Best pizza in Leigh by a long distance. Quality Italian ingredients simply put together well. It's awesome to have proper Neapolitan pizza in Leigh!

I was disappointed to be served my pizza on dirty crockery. The glass was also misty and foul.
Admittedly, the pizza was quite good and reasonably fresh (although it was left sitting for some time), but the dirtiness was off-putting.

I thought I'd ignore whatever the private joke is on here and try it anyway.
Not a great deal of selection on the menu but some nice enough sounding pizzas.
We asked for a smaller pizza for our child to be told they don't have any small bases in. I'd expect fresh dough from a specialist pizza place. Never mind, we were hungry so we ordered 3 large from the normal menu.
An hour later our order had still had not gone in the oven! We paid for our drinks and left at this point.
In the hour we were there, a total of 10 pizzas came out of the kitchen. I could cook more that that in my home oven. Then again, I can also make fresh dough.

A wonderful hidden gem in Leigh town centre. Beautiful, quirky decor and lovely friendly staff
The vegan pizza was amazing. Quite possibly the best I have ever had. Unfortunately had to remove 1 star as there were no vegan dessert options 😥

We ventured in here today with our little one for lunch, I was concerned about having the pram however the server was lovely and we were able to sit out if the way so we didn't block other customers. The food was incredible, the service was great! Such a welcoming, friendly place with incredible decor. We even brought home a little desert to have and the owner even gave us a little extra treat. I cannot fault this place at all, I only wish we carried cash so we could tip as there was no card facility to tip which I feel awful

Had a great night here with family I hadn't seen in 2 years. Starter, pizza and dessert fantastic, it's about time that leigh had somewhere like this. Service was excellent and the hummus was out of this world. I'll be back when next visiting my cousin Phil. Keep it up.

Surprised by the quality and authenticity of the pizzas. . Best I've had for a long time. BUT....they only do pizza. Missing an opportunity for Lasagne and other easy staple Italian foods. Will go again

Been several times in the past but never again. Good food as usual but this time we found the owner not to be too welcoming despite giving him some excellent feedback about his staff. Having read the previous responses to reviews I was extremely disappointed by them and will definitely not go back again due to this poor experience having spent a lot of money in the restaurant.

As always an outstanding pizza with a lovely atmosphere & gr8 service. Such a fem in Leigh. Well worth a trip there if you're from out of town, you won't be disappointed but would advise to book in advance so you're not disappointed

I haven't even eaten here bro, I just absolutely love the owner comments lmao. Although seeing the photos and hearing the experiences here, it really made me want to try some here. Definitely will add this spot on my bucket list if I ever visit

Pizza is decent, I don’t care about price because of the ingredients and ambience..
The owner needs to take a long hard look at himself and learn customer service.. this business won’t last with him in charge…
I made a simple request, he called me woke and practically forced me to taste his fresh tomatoes which were canned..
My daughter found a hair in her cheese was accused of planting it which made her cry..

Andrew and Liz were very accommodating for a large party, to celebrate our daughters graduation.
Nothing was too much trouble.
Allowed early access to bring the cake, balloons, flowers etc.
Food was delicious
The girls serving us were pleasant and professional.
Thank you Twentymans we enjoyed our food and will be returning soon.

Never been in before and it was lovely. Order a platter for starters and was amazing. Pepperoni pizza for main and again that was lovely. Since I was driving and could only have a glass of Prosecco which unfortunately they didn't do small sizes only big bottles,,,,so went for a Vodka and Lemonade instead. Staff very helpful and friendly, food came really quick but wasn't busy as we went around 8pm on a weekday. Definitely would go back.

Great pizza, fairly priced for what it is. If you want cheaper go ahead and go to some shoddy place that'll give you a grease puddle on soggy undercooked dough.
Owners a bit unhinged on here but I love a good show.
Will be returning.

Had a 30th meal here, service was excellent and very quick considering there were so many of us. They even re-put together a broken brownie tower we brought. Pizzas were as usual spot on 😁
