Leigh's own rugby league team, founded in 1878. Leigh Leopards have won the Rugby League Championship twice and the Challenge Cup twice.
This year the Leigh Leopards have been promoted and will be back in the Super League for the 2023 season.

As a Wigan RL supporter of 50 years plus, i must say how happy i was to see your victory at Wembley. My only sadness was that it wasn't a Wigan Borough final, that would have been something. My overall view of the game was that Hull KR had come to prove how rough and tough (dirty) they were but leigh had come to play rugby and thankfully the rugby won the day.

Home to the second best Rugby league team in Wigan, Not as impressive as the DW stadium in the capital of Wigan but it is a nice stadium none the less.

Poor performance today need to up our game management in attack and defence also senior players need to step up and lead around the park on a plus side a players to come into the team so should see some improvement in next couple of games
