A car parking ticket on a Sunday when did I big shop and nipped over the road to Tesco as Lidl doesn’t have everything in! A loyal customer to the one in Mosley Common spending over £200 a month regularly! Never had a ticket. Now I won’t ever consider shopping at a Lidl again. Never would I thought taking a walk with the child across the road rather than move the car to get additional items and for the child to use toilet would cost me so much.

5 months agoA Review of Lidl: A Consistent and Cost-Effective Shopping Experience Lidl has consistently proven to be a reliable source for quality food at competitive prices. While prices have risen in recent years, mirroring the trend in the broader supermarket industry, Lidl continues to offer excellent value for money. Personally, I find Lidl to be superior to Aldi in many respects, and I eagerly anticipate their seasonal offerings, particularly the Christmas product range. My recent shopping trip to Lidl was a resounding success. Having cleared out my cupboards and fridge, I was able to replace all my essentials without any difficulty. The store was well-stocked, and I found plenty of parking available. Additionally, I was able to take advantage of several deals and promotions, further enhancing the value of my purchase. One of the highlights of my shopping experience was the friendly and helpful assistance I received from a Lidl employee. When I was struggling to locate long-life milk, a kind lady promptly offered to help. Her assistance was invaluable, and her pleasant demeanor made the shopping experience even more enjoyable. In conclusion, Lidl continues to be a go-to destination for those seeking quality food at affordable prices. My recent shopping trip reinforced my positive impression of the store, and I look forward to returning in the future.

6 months agoYou would see a huge price difference when you purchased in bulk. The quality of some products is very bad.

1 year agoBeen in this store a couple of times and seen other reviews about people being charged for non existent items and now they've done me ! Called in a couple of days ago for a couple of bits and in the past I've always checked my receipt before I left but this time it was getting late n it was busy do i didn't. Got home unpacked my bag and looked at my receipt to find i'd been charged for a bottle of still mineral water i didn't buy ? When the cashier is scanning your items 1 by 1 over their scanner how the hell can something you haven't got get added to your bill ? If the water had been in my bag I could understand as they're over the conveyor belt so 1 could've toppled on. I knew it hadn't as I would've seen it when I packed the things into my bag and pointed it out there n then that it wasn't mine. I've never bought mineral water in my life and I never will. There's not much point in going in Lidl to save money when you're charged for an item you haven't had It wipes out what you've saved on the other items in your basket. I've included a photo of the non existent item. I probably won't shop here again now it was only 39p but that's not the point, I didn't buy it, it wasn't scanned by the cashier or sent down towards me where I packed my bag so I still don't understand how it's on there ? I'd urge other shoppers to check their receipts before they leave this or any other Lidl store !

1 year agoLEIGH STORE Never enough tills working. Went at the weekend to buy plants that were on offer but was charged the higher original price. Had to tell the till girl that all plants on offer outside were marked wrong price. Got my money back but the till queues got bigger as she sorted out my refund. The temperature was very cold and they had house plants outside. Make sure you check your till receipts that you've not been overcharged it happens quite a lot.

1 year agoAldi Store,Entwsle Rd, Rochdale have introduced 4 cash & 4 card self serving tills. How long will it be before Lidl store, Spotland Rd, Rochdale follows Aldi lead. Not a good move for any store to introduce self serving checkouts only

1 year agoThe guy on the till was brilliant, there was a queue but that quickly went as he scanned the items and did his job extremely efficiently. I have never seen anyone as good as he was and he seemed to have a pride in reducing queues quickly. Still could chat to the customers as well. Well done.

2 years agoGot what I wanted, but there were 2 very long check out queues! A third was eventually opened, and the queues promptly dealt with. Toilet was needed after the queue. Very grateful for the customer toilet!

2 years agoOverall usually well stocked apart from the bakery shelves are usually empty. Staff are usually friendly but seems understaffed sometimes with only 1 staff on checkouts with large queues at peak times and no self checkouts as an alternative.

2 years agoMy newly refurbished local Lydl is neatly laid out and all the products are well displayed and competitively priced. I hadn't shopped there for years but will do in future as I spotted a lot of real bargains some even better than Aldi!!

2 years agoOne of the few Lidl stores nearby. Has a fresh bakery but sadly doesn't have the bread cutter like bigger stores. Stock can be hit n miss.

2 years agoAlthough there is not much variety of products at this location (went in for a pot noodle, not one in whole store?) if you're looking for basics, you might be better off going to the Tesco across the road. If you like standing in long queues because there is only one till ever open, then this place is for you. Step it up Lidl. Do better.

2 years agoCalled in Lidl around 11.45 ,this morning. Feeling a bit fed up. When I got to the till the amazing funny young man on it made me smile with his infectious smile and positive personality. He actually said to me that's a big smile. I told him it was because of him...he made a dull miserable day brighter!! The quality of food is the best too!!

2 years agoNot very impressed, I have been shopping at lidl for quite a while, for the past few weeks they've had no lemonade or their own tonic water even the staff don't know when they will be getting a delivery for these items, I am not prepared to do my shopping ? their as often!!I spoke to other shoppers last week and they agreed you may be losing customer's in because of this x

2 years agoAs usual some products very low. No milk in the fridges. But always find what I need and today Sunday the girl on checkouts was very curt and rude. Think she was having a bad day. Not normally bad staff experience. Very hot day. The guy behind me said she was not very nice to him either
ANNE Seaborn
2 years agoDoes what it says on the tin Lidl is trying its best to keep prices down but when you get to the till you still see an increase on your bill still better than the big 4.
John Littley
2 years agoNot a good experience today. Asked a staff member how much cherries and small tomatoes were as they with the specials when you first go in and not priced up. This young woman staff member was totally abrupt and said she didn't know off top of her head and I would have to go and ask at the till! Guess what? We left and did our shopping at Tesco. How rude! ?

2 years agoEvery time i go there they have stock missing, last time they had a till frozen and told me to move to the back of the queue after waiting 10 minutes at the till for incompetent staff to log in. They haven't offered help moving my shopping there. Terrible customer service and incompetent managment. One of the worst Lidl. Any shop is as good as the people that work there... Avoid if don't like being disappointed...

3 years agoNot one of the larger stores and struggle to buy own brand carbonated drinks as they rarely have them in stock. They do have some gorgeous plants at the moment though at good prices, the Calla Lillie are lovely.

3 years agoUsually very good, just wasn't very much milk left and I went around lunch, won't hold it against them as a delivery may have been late.
