Good value, especially with nectar price offers. Occasionally seem to run out of popular items. Staff very helpful.

1 month agoDirty smack heads harass you and your children for money every time you visit this at the entrance, my wife doesn’t feel safe outside the shop doors on her own. Sainsbury’s security do absolutely nothing about it even though it’s on there property .

1 month agoLovely place to shop, with lots of variety. Excellent customer service from the lady at the tills. One thing I wasn't too pleased about, I caught an older man waiting at the end of the trolleys taking photos as I was walking out of the store with my daughter.

2 months agoStore is dull and needs makeover. Some staff need training on customer skills. Used to love this store no longer enjoy going.

2 months agoManager should be getting to grips with service issues bought a microwave this morning . Took far too much time trying to find assistance to put heavy items on trolley. My wife and I are 80 yrs old and got nil assistance. Check out was ok. Bit of trouble with large item then we struggle a Ross car park and managed just about. To load item into boot. Pretty poor show.

4 months agoStaff are rude and the staff are very judgemental about thet net card brain washing people to get one. And the people near the front entrance push in front of you don't walk round u in said they walk in front.

5 months agoEverything I needed was I store, and at the checkout we asked for extra staff. My sister uses the mobility scooter, so we needed another checkout opening. To be honest, I was surprised when it only took minutes.

6 months agoOn a recent visit we got to the till at exactly 10pm (closing time) and they closed the only checkout available, exactly as we got to the till, and said we were too late and needed to use the self checkouts. If they said sorry we are closed we cannot process your order that would be fair enough but they were happy to accept my order via self checkout. It took us 17 minutes to process the £161 worth of shopping. The assistant at the self checkout desk was very helpful constantly resetting the system as each time the load area was full had to bag items and reset. She agreed that the self checkout wasn't designed to accept this amount of shopping. On recent visits to Sainsbury in Leigh, even at the weekend, there only seems to be a maximum of 2 checkout tills open at any one time which results in long waiting times. Sainsburys still have a great range but have well and truly joined the race to the bottom in terms of self service checkouts. Aldi seems to manage to increase the number of open checkouts quickly when the quees get long. Morrison's have plenty checkouts open at all times. The long waits are really putting me off shopping here.

6 months agoEmpty shelves and the dearest cat food along with high prices. Aldi price matching not good enough they should be undercutting.

6 months agoDespite its size, this Sainsbury's always seems to be low on stock on popular items, and has a limited food product range relative to other stores it's size, e.g. Heaton Park. In all there's a lot of room for improvement.

7 months agoPrice wise compared to asda. It's a bit cheaper you have to look around, I love sainsbuys, lots of variety not overly busy like asda you have my vote

9 months agoLike a sainsbury but who can afford food and heating now. All supermarkets have gone above ten percent inflation will leave people hungry I am sure my sympathy is for people who have growing kids to feed. Is a quality supermarket with a good range I should say they are good at what they do and staff are very good 😁

9 months agoI don't usually leave reviews for supermarkets because usually it's just a supermarket.... But I do love this Sainsbury's store. It's so big and spacious, it never feels busy. Tons of choice on food and homeware. The petrol station is always one of the cheapest around too. Brilliant store and useful to have the other shops like Home Bargains etc right there too.

9 months agoI like this store but since having a baby there is never any trollies with baby seats in available. The Till lady said they have 20 so i went around the store and carpark looking for them and couldn't fine any so I no longer shop here when I have the baby with me.

10 months agoLarge store with a good range of items, and an argos collection point above it. Lots of stores next to it like sports direct, currys, some bargain stores. Also plenty of food choices, greggs, subway, KFC. Definitely a good place to visit to browse in a range of shops.

11 months agoThe shop itself is fine but why are the signs outside advertising the cafe when there is no cafe. A very abrupt member of staff said there has not been one for ages(sounded like she was sick of being asked). For goodness sake take down the signs it is annoying and misleading.

11 months agoSays volumes when most items are cheaper in M&S than Sainsbury's. Sainsbury's use to be good but they've really gone down hill in quality and pricing over the last 10 years. Same shop in Aldi cost me £70 compared to £160+ in Sainsbury's, Aldi was the same quality if not better when it comes to the meat.

1 year agoWasted journey. Item on shelf plenty of stock. Got to checkout and it scanned fine but wouldn't allow to complete. Manager and staff could not fathom out why it was not allowing to complete the sale and so refused to sell the items and said they must have been banned from sale for some reason. Total waste of a journey and a disappointed customer. Prob cos the item was on offer and they probably sell tomorrow at the higher price. But I won't be wasting my time going all the way back there I will shop elsewhere

1 year agoActually used tk max not sainsbury. Still boycotting them after refusing me fuel after stating my car was likely used by criminals, was driving an rs6 at the time. Staff wouldn't even let me pre pay just refused service. Staff are rude and unprofessional.

1 year agoNo issues with food or the lovely lady on the till, the main problems are the lack of open tills,I have to take my mother and she can't do self service as most pensioners can't and to have just one till open meant she had to stand with the rest of the pensioners,I realise times are changing but we still have pensioners and they like to be served.

1 year agoToday was an absolute nightmare. I decided to scan my items on my own as every time I shop here there is only one till operating and you have to wait in the cue. I thought it would be easier and faster. However when I wanted to upload my trolley in the till it said that a member of staff needed to check 14 items or so. This lady who comes to help me then said she needed to scan every single item as the system asked for it and no fault on her part She was just doing her job but she forgot to put back in the bags 2 of the Yorkshire puddings trays that I got so I have to go back and request them. I waited longer than I would have originally in the end. There is not enough staff and customers are treated like thieves. They did not find one single item that I hadn't scanned. If sainsbury's doesn't trust customers then it shouldn't set up a smart checkout. This is outrageous and I didn't feel like I was spending the £150 in the right place. Big corporation with no care for their customers or their staff. I saw an old gentleman struggling to work out the tills and the staff as helpful as they were they weren't enough to be around and working very hard to get to everyone. Won't be using those tills anymore. You have to get back as it was.

1 year agoLarge store with lots of selection. Plenty of room to keep distance from other shoppers. Now there is an Argos store situated upstairs in the shop

1 year agoSainsbury's is one of my personal favourites when it comes to groceries, however it is quickly loosing ground as it's SELF-CHECKOUT policies are being mandated resulting in more people loosing jobs and customers get less for their hard earned money - perhaps just to fall in line with the other retailers (who lead in this discusting endevour).

1 year agoAlways excellent selection of food and household goods. Staff helpful and friendly. Handy having Argos upstairs too.

1 year agoMainly use to get fuel for car. They have now gone to card only payment at the pumps. As yet have not been able to put Nectar points on my card, I think I may have to take receipts into the shop to have points registered. Not bothered as I don't shop for my food at Sainsbury's. Was better when I could pay at shop on forecourt.

1 year agoThank goodness Sainsbury's have started to stock my oat milk. We used to get it from Asda but they have decided that even though it was sold out nearly everyday it wasn't in demand and soya milk was better. They also have an excellent range of non dairy products and free from products. Much better than the other supermarkets. So if your vegetarian, vegan or have allergies Sainsbury's is the best store to go.

1 year agoGood place to shop. Greater variety of food compared to other major supermarkets. Doesn't get busy atall. I love the place!

2 years agoWent to Argos after ordering online. There was no waiting when I got there and was dealt with straight away. The two ladies there were great and would definitely go back.

2 years agoThe clothes at TU are great, especially the baby clothes, but sizes 3-6 months always sell out very quickly at this store. There is a great range for everything you need for food/drink and there is a decent size home section. The store has toilets and baby change facilities. Staff have always been very friendly and there is somewhere to sanitise your hands and trolley before you enter.

2 years agoAlways a great experience. Great food. Ok prices (it's Sainsbury's after all) I love the lift ramp. Makes me feel like I'm about to get on a plane!

2 years agoI love this store, the way it’s laid out. All the staff are fantastic. They regularly wipe the trolleys down which none of the other supermarkets do. Yesterday I left 3 packs of cigarettes in a trolley that I had taken back to one of the trolley covers & they were handed back in. I went the day after & she remembered me, what I ordered for my partner & I got the items back. I’d like the thank the person who handled them in & Vikki for her great customer service skills and honesty. Thanks so much & will see you next week. Thanks from a very happy & relieved customer. All the best! Keith Groarke

2 years agoExpensive for food good range but wines and non foods great value. Like many pensioner households we have switched to online shopping. For the second consecutive delivery that comes from this store they are unable to supply 2x2.5kg bags of potatoes a Basic Commodity. Something wrong with the management at this store
