4 weeks agoLovely bar. Was over for the weekend from Belfast and was able to book a table for food and to watch the football. All staff very friendly and helpful and the toilets are absolutely immaculate, I was amazing, the cleanest toilets in a bar ever. Would definitely recommend

1 month agoHappy all round with this place. Everything was good just not excellent. Wanted to try something other than the local spoons. Slightly more expensive here but only just. Service was ok but nothing to rave about so not a 5. Had breakfast and will deffo come again. Sorry didn't mean to sound so cryptic š

2 months agoVery tasty food for very good prices. Waiters/Waitresses are pleasant and will resolve any issues you may have. Regular sports events too. When busy, waiting times can become a little long but definitely nothing extreme. Would definitely recommend especially for families

3 months agoUsually do not have a problem eating here food is always good service is good too however just been for lunch (three of us ) and workmen was in doing jobs banging drilling sanding .this made us feel really uncomfortable and couldn't be heard talking to each other .surely these kind of jobs should be done when the place is closed

7 months agoI would like to say the service we was provided by the staff Ben was incredible. Came for food as a support worker and the compassion and accommodation he provided was amazing. Making sure the sound was at a right level and even offering to turn on a bigger TV when noticing the person I support was enjoying the small one. Kept checking everything was fine, need more people like Ben!

8 months agoBooked a table in advance and requested a table by a tv for the England game, which kicked off at 10.30. Arrived at 10am and every tv was showing golf, despite the game starting soon. Explained that weād booked a table and was told to ājust sit anywhereā. Asked if the game would be shown and was told that she would request the big screen to be turned on. Sat at a table and waited a few minutes for the screen, which wasnāt turned on. Asked at the bar and the man serving said āIāll do it when the queue has gone downā. The pub was heaving with sports fans waiting for the rugby, which didnāt begin until 2pm. Iām hugely disappointed that a sports bar had taken such an outdated and frankly discriminative approach to the womenās World Cup. To be told to wait for the queue to disperse before the screen could be turned on was ridiculous, the queue was not going down any time soon with one person on the bar and a constant flow of sports fans coming through the door. The place was clearly too busy and understaffed ahead of the rugby, which I understand is a big sport for the town, but there was plenty of time to show the football before the rugby began. I had specifically requested a table for the World Cup game, which had obviously been ignored. This is a terrible example to set for the pub, and I will not be returning.

1 year agoVisited the weavers after a gruelling day at work. Soon as I walked in the staff was well mannered and I was attended to quickly. The barman who served me called Ben served with a smile and was very well mannered despite being rushed off his feet. The food I had was unreal couldnāt knock a thing. Would visit this place again. 10/10

1 year agoIāve been into the Weavers Arms a few times before both for food and for a few drinks, every time it has been a pleasant experience and a welcoming atmosphere! The seats are comfy and there are a wide range of both food and drink available. Thereās also plenty of screens inside and one outside too so if youāre into sport you can watch it almost anywhere in the pub! Last time I went in I was served by Ben, he was polite and friendly and made my visit even better than previous times, a credit to the team there, I will definitely be coming back!

1 year agoThe pub is absolutely spotless, definitely the cleanest pub in Leigh! Staff are amazing, one of the bar staff Pete is lovely, always smiling and has a good chat whilst serving. Food is always really nice, comes quite fast and is really cheap. Great environment for going to watch the sports, having a game of pool, and a nice chilled drink.

1 year agoFood was quite poor. The chips had clearly been re-fried and I don't mean in the good triple fried gourmet chips way, they were very dry and I cut my gum on one. We also had mac and cheese with bbq meatballs but they had no meatballs which we weren't informed about when ordering so a member of staff came to the table, we substituted with bacon, the bacon was flabby and the fat wasn't rendered down or in any way crispy. Quite an unpleasant experience, it used to be much better

1 year agoI have coming to this establishment for a long time. There are a nucleas of 4 to 5 of my friends who drink in the pub on a frequent basis. I complained that the air conditioning was too cold, considering it was only 18 degrees outside. The staff told me that they need the aircon so that they can work efficiently. I stated that the customers are their priority and they have already lost a regular customer due to the air con being too cold. When I asked for his name, he refused. Great customer service, not! HENCE THIS NEGATIVE REVIEW!

2 years agoI went here last night with a group of friends after meeting at the Thomas Burke. I've been in here plenty of times with no complaints. However last night i had a dickie stomach and wasn't happy that there was no toilet rolls in the gents. When I mentioned it to my friends one of the girls said there wasn't any in the ladies either. I managed to get in the disabled toilet and thankfully toilet rolls were in there. This isn't like having a bad drink or meal. It's a basic requirement to provide toilet rolls. The venue wasn't even busy for a Saturday night so it can't be blamed on having no time.

2 years agoWent to this venue on Friday evening with my work colleagues and we had a lovely time. Greeted at the bar by Josh, no waiting for our drinks which by the way were unbelievably priced. They had a singer on who had a fantastic range, playing to all ages. I really recommend the weavers arms in Leigh. Thanks again Josh for your hospitality.

2 years agoUse to be a fantastic pub. Now!, shocking the staff are so rude. Zero organisation and staff just standing around ignoring customers. You can tell how bad it is and has gone down hill due to bad management. Over all the years I have never seen this pub in such a bad way and it's a shame as it us to be a good pub. Won't be coming it again sorry to say.

The food is fantastic, I usually avoid Steak at pubs etc. usually only get steak at dedicated Steak houses/restaurants but my steak last night was cooked perfectly and no fat/gristle. Customer service too is exceptional, staff are happy and friendly. Josh, Ben and Nikola always go that extra mile to make every visit here a pleasant one.

2 years agoThis pub is the best in Leigh to feel safe with the present pandemic restrictions, you have to sign in when entering the pub were you are designated a table, masks are mandatory, Declan and Shannon made us feel very welcome, we ordered food which was excellent, the service was really good by the staff who go out of there way to make you feel safe and comfortable. If you dont want to comply with rules dont visit, but you will be missing out.

3 years agoAlways good value for money, eclectic music always playing and TVs are always in view and powered up. The food is exactly what I expect from a town centre pub. Think the drinks prices are below town average, served clean and fresh. All the staff are thoughtful and welcoming. I would recommend this site as idiots are refused at the door, so its easy to relax. Well done to Sarah and the team in these difficult times!
