The atmosphere was made the better with the company I was with but I must say that the service delivered by the staff at the venue was excellent. We were on a works meal and this location is ideal because it's local for all of us. We found the prices of the food to be good at £17.95 for a starter and a main and in my case I went doulble for a small addition and it was worth it.

Xsara was our server, and she was attentive, friendly, and so helpful especially with it being so busy. A real credit. Our food was amazing, steak cooked beautifully on my mixed grill, salad bar was full and fresh. Thank you Elliot and Gabs for the perfect food, we really enjoyed it. Would definitely come back

Charlie was our server, from us walking through the door to us leaving and she was amazing from start to finish. She was very attentive and made sure everything was fast so it worked around our 1 year old! Great service and great meal!

The air conditioner was broken down made the conservatory very hot. Also the waiters were rude. One English waitress threw the cutleries on the table. We had to separate it ourselves.
The food was alright the dessert was huge. Would try the same restaurant somewhere else.

I came here with my wife for lunch at 12. It exceeded all of my initial expectations. The food was delicious and definitely value for money. The lovely young lady Tasha went out of her way to be as helpful, friendly, and very accommodating, with any needs we had. All the staff appear to be an absolute credit to you, but definitely Tasha. A big thank you to her, especially. She should have a raise or a medal!

The staff were very nice and the service was great with all 9 meals arriving together.
Aaron was around to help and serve if needed but not in your face.
Special thanks to Aaron, Gabby and Ryan who made our visit worthwhile.

Went today for tea and was really impressed. The food was lovely, hot, fresh and well cooked. I can honestly say it's the best steak I've had in a long time. Special mention for Grace who served us. She was so efficient and well mannered even though she was busy. What a lovely girl and an asset to the place. I rarely leave reviews but credit where it's due. We will definitely be returning.

Always enjoy coming here, I came the other day and was waited on by Isobel , she provided fantastic and friendly service. Burgers are great although the salad bar needs to be kept on top of but was sorted straight away when we asked Isobel if they could fill it up.

We had booked for 19 people . Food came out pretty much right after each other . Food was hot , fresh and very tasty !
Salad bar was fully stocked and lots to choose from .
Staff was exceptionally helpful and attentive . Grace and Charley were fabulous .

On entering, the seating area to the right, every table had empty glasses that needed collecting. There was no staff to be seen behind the bar, I had to walk towards the dining area to disturb 3 members of staff having a conversation, to ask them for service at the bar. The first member of staff came over to the bar to serve me but then politely informed me that she was underage so couldn't serve me. Another member of staff came to serve me and was very polite and welcoming.

Came in and ordered the big mixed grill and probably have to say it’s the best I’ve had, it’s actually nice to see a mixed grill with good cuts of meat.

We visited Harvester for the very first time as a result of receiving a 50% discount on mains via the Blue Light Card.
We were pleasantly met upon entering and showed to a table.
I was going to use the Harvester app to order. However, the waitress said it wasn't yet up and running, so she took our order.
We took up the offer of the free salad bar and it was very good. Pasta, coleslaws, tomatoes, beetroot, etc. It was very fresh and tasty.
We ordered the Chicken, Bacon & Waffle from the ' Something Different' menu. The chicken (2 pieces) was delicious. The chips tasted just like the frozen chips we have at home. The bacon (3 rashers) and waffle were ok.
The Harvester was very clean, good service and the food was OK.
If you use the free salad bar, I think it's value for money. Not so much if I had to pay the full price for just the mains.

We called in with friends without an appointment and were served well y Charley and the team, each of which went out of their way to ensure a fully relaxing quality experience. We couldn't have asked for more. I had one of the best gammon meals ever and we all agreed that Harvester would certainly be a regular eating abode in future. A very pleasant surprise overall! The food was absolutely lovely when we went, however service was below mid. We were taken to a table that still had crumbs and stains all over it and when we asked the waitress to clean it, she only cleaned half of it. Our party was a large group and so I asked the waitress to re-read our order to us to make sure it was all there. Despite doing that, the wine she brought over was not a rose - it seemed she had no knowledge of the menu when taking our order. We waited a while for our salad bowls because our waitress forgot and when she did bring them over, she brought us dirty ones which we had to ask to be replaced. Our booking was for 8pm, however there wasn't much left in the salad bar and so we asked a member of staff whether they were going to restock it, to which one staff member cheekily replied 'well you did come quite late didn't you'. 8pm on a Saturday is quite a busy time for restaurants (as I have worked in hospitality myself) and so if an 8pm booking is classed as 'late' to your organisation, then don't advertise your kitchen is open till 10pm online. We do not appreciate your staff insinuating it's our problem the salad bar is half empty. Again we waited ages (considering the restaurant wasn't rammed) for the small little things like butter, bread roles etc to be given to us when asking the staff for help. We also heard our waitress complaining to other staff members about wanting to go home because she couldn't be bothered to work and caught her rolling her eyes at our table when doing check backs and restocking our cutlery. Again the food was really lovely but the service made our visit extremely unpleasant as it seemed like the staff didn't want to be there. We have been to the Harvester before and service has never been as shocking as this. The gent from our table that paid had left a £10 tip, however we would like this to go to the kitchen solely please.

Food was excellent and arrived quickly, but the real highlight was Charley our server, who was friendly, efficient, and helpful without being intrusive. The rest of the team were smiling and made it a great atmosphere, including letting us pick a quieter table - busy for a weekday evening! Plenty of parking, plenty of choice, and a relaxed dining atmosphere ideal for tired travellers. Thank you, will be back again!

Sorry but extremely average. The service was friendly and polite but unfortunately the food was not brilliant. Salad choice was olay but lots of empty serving dishes that needed topping up. The chicken was dry and my wrap (with the skewer) was cremated. Its was more like a giant nacho.

Jack our sever was great at the Leigh restaurant.
We had to wait a few minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was fairly quiet, food was decent, but the salad bar could’ve done with a top up. But overall jack gave us a pleasant experience.

Xsara was our server she was brilliant even when it was really busy. We had a peanut allergy and she went that extra mile to ensure that everything was perfect.
Food was amazing and really quick considering how busy it was.

Enjoyed a lovely breakfast with my wife and daughter. The food was lovely, and the service was excellent. We were served by Beth. She was very warm and friendly, and also went that extra mile by interacting with our toddler, who can't wait for us to go back on a Saturday morning so we can see Beth again!

Food is tasty but service was not good
Shown to R table which was dirty and had food debri on the seats .
Had to wait 45 minutes for the sweets to arrive after prompting twice.
When the final bill came we had been charged nearly £30 more , they had put extra sweets on.
However this was rectified but not much of an apology for the wait m bill mistake .
We booked for 1pm m got out at 3.45pm....there was 3 adults

Food excellent only complaint one of our party found a hair in her food and they changed immediately. Service was our only problem it was slow our party sat down at 6.05 but nobody came to our table till 6.25 a party on next table sat down after us and got attended before us and got there meals a good 15 minutes before us I'm sorry just not good enough. PS 2 and half hours for a meal not acceptable

Just that one downside was - partially it was our fault - that the discount wasn't applied properly (although the code was scanned) and we noticed it only after we were back home and started comparing the price we paid and what we had...

The service was good regarding taking the order, and starters arrived without any issues. However, our main meal arrived 1.5 hours later after asking 4 times were was it, we had children with us who were very hungry otherwise we would have left, needless to say we won't be going back.

This was our first time coming back after the refurb, food was amazing and came quickly. Salad was fresh and continuously resupplied throughout our visit. We attended over the weekend. It looked like it had recently been done up. The food was great and reasonably priced. We had 3 servers. I'm guessing 2 of them were trainees but all 3 were very friendly. You could see the trainees were nervous but their trainer did a great job with them.

This was our first visit after the recent refurbishment. We booked our table online and arrived early and was quickly shown to our table. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly and polite. They were training new staff and we've got to learn sometimes. The young lady processed our order but mistakenly put mine to come out with the starter's so they offered to keep it warm and/or make it from scratch but I just said keep it warm and bring it out with the others. They brought it out with the other mains but it was Lukewarm along with my wife's. My wife asked for them to remove tomatoes off of her dirty bird burger which they did and they also took it off mine even though I wanted it on mine! The lads meal was hot except they burnt the bacon charcoal black and he couldn't eat it like that so he was disappointed with it. The point of this is hopefully the quality control and communication with customers is improved upon for our next visit. :)

The service was very slow we arrived for 5.30 and it took over 2 .5 hours to get our food and my food was cold , everything was awful ? there was 8 of us and all our food came out at different times and I had a food allergy and my food didn't get prepared in a allergy free area.

Staff are friendly and professional the bar area and restaurant area are very clean the table was set lovely and it was very clean. The atmosphere in the restaurant and bar area are great the restaurant was decorated with Christmas decorations which made it all a lovely place and cosy .. The menu is great with a great selection of meals. Food was delicious and hot when served drinks were also good. Will definitely be visiting again

We arrived on time for our table and we was shown straight to our table. We was a table of 12, 6 adults and 6 children. On arrival we was informed it was table service and someone would be along shortly to take our order.
Someone came to take our order about 20 past 5. Our drinks arrived 10 minutes later and we then waited for our order. A few in the party ordered starters, these arrived about 6:15pm. Once eaten the plates were cleared away and we continued to wait for meals. At 6:35pm we asked when our food would be arriving as the children where hungry and we were told there was another big table in front of us then ours would be plated. Our food was finally served at 6:55pm. This is an extremely long time to wait for food and we had young children with us. When the food arrived, one order was slightly wrong, another chicken meal was charcoal on one side, my daughter had a child's/junior meal and it came with about 6 chips on it, so I ended uo sharing some of mine with her. We didn't stay for dessert because it was now 7:30pm and the children had enough. The staff were lovely and had great customer service.

We’ve been going harvester for a few years now, really enjoy the food but the experience a few times has been poor. We visited the Leigh harvester yesterday, we had to ask the salad area to be refilled. It was basically empty, a few containers were brought out shortly after but it was far from full. A lot of the sauces and breads were near enough empty too. The food took a long time to arrive, we had to ask where it was. We enjoyed the food when it did come and the servers were pleasant enough.
I don’t think we’ll be coming again as harvester seems to have gone down hill. We used to go the media city, Warrington and Leigh harvester so it’s a shame really.
Not specific to the Leigh harvester but can the tip option be removed off the card machine? It makes paying the bill an awkward process especially when you’re being watched.

The service was shocking. Ages to take orders. No-one cleared our plates away. No milk with our coffees. Pudding order delivered was incorrect. My child had coleslaw in his ice cream.
The Mediterranean vegetable tart was awful. Pastry overcooked and the vegetables tasted like they had come out of a frozen packet with a lot of rosemary then in to cover the taste. Shocking. Lots of the salad empty. No butter only marg. no labels on the sauces.
Would definitely never go back.
Half the restaurant closed with boxes of Christmas decorations. Tired decor. Had to sit on Seats with caution tape all over them.

Absolute rubbish service, had a rare opportunity to spend some time with one of my daughter's, she's 9, while my other daughter was at a party. Had to po k her up at 2, stepped in at 12;15, left at 1;30 only having a starter, some limp salad snd a drink, at this time we were still 3rd in lone dor our main! Their excuse was, we had a starter? Nachos and a garlic bread ?, needless to say we had to leave, they still expected me to pay! As if! Daughter's hungry and I'm running late! That and my time with mu daughter was ruined.... 1 hour 15vmins is ample time to be served, ridiculous service for mediocre food.

Meals took around an hour to arrive and when they did they were luke warm. Waitress went to get the kids menu for the dessert choice and that took forever. I actually think she forgot or just went off on her break! Don't waste your time or money on poor quality food and service. Might have been quicker to go to sainsburys then back home to cook it.

This particular harvester looked a little dated from the outside, inside however it was nice and clean. The waiting on staff were excellent explaining the choices on the menu and when I asked them questions if they didn't know the answers they would find out. I chose jacket potato with grilled chicken breast and veg It was from the lunchtime menu I also had a garlic bread starter and a cup of tea. The price was £13.99 from the lunchtime menu which was great value. The salad bar was well stocked and free with my meal which was lovely. The toilets were lovely and clean and the whole WC was spacious and smelt fresh. My overall feeling about this place screamed out "Don't judge a book by the cover" I would definitely go again when I'm in the area. Recommended!

Love this place, always a cracking service, great food. If anything is forgotten (it happens) the staff sort it immediately and great with customers. Really clean, happy staff all the time, great beer and wine, plenty of choice. Clean, parking (careful on match days though at Leigh stadium, people fill the carpark). Brilliant pub, great for kids too.

First impressions of the front of pub from
the outside were very shoddy and was in desperate need for TLC even just a lick of paint would improve the outside massively after entering the pub there was barely anyone in but was taken to a 8 seater table for myself and my wife and one of the seats had a massive rip down the seats which shows either the pub managent don't care or the company are not bothered either.
We went for a nice meal in a nice pub but ended up leaving without purchasing anything.

Surely a purchased gift card would have no expiry as its the purchaser's money that bought it. In these times of tight budgets, a gift card of this nature is a luxury.

Visited today for some lunch , was seated every quickly by a lovely gentleman. Starters were delicious and the mains were just the same. Booked a table for lunch last minute, there was no problem fitting my party in. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to our table. We didn't have to wait too long for our drink and food order to be taken and the food arrived quickly. The salad bar was fully stocked, the food we requested was all available and drinks were brought quickly. Food was really nice and we also ordered dessert.

A very pleasant evening ahead of the rugby. The set menu options were varied and enjoyable. And food came out in good time, although there was a slightly longer weight than I would’ve liked between starters, main course. Come here quit often Withy my family when visiting. Love the unlimited salad option with all the condiments. However more recently they don’t have full selection and would like more variety.
Great choice of food and menus spoilt for choice. Ordered from the festive menu but unfortunately the vegan option was not available which was really disappointing.
Food was generally good. They were very accommodating giving us time to arrange ours as and take this family photograph.
I ordered an expression martini which tasted awful and when I checked it was correct but a pre made one, definitely don’t recommend. They did replace it with an alternative. The other complaint I have was that it was freezing and half of us had to sit in our coats and took away from the experience. Would have been 4 star but this took it to 3

Harvester is always a go to if we are ever unsure what to get. From breakfast, dinner or tea they always have a great selection. The salad bar is always stocked full of great items. The bottomless soft drink station is always good and great for the kids even if they do mix all the different flavours together.

We were sat for slightly longer than we expected before our drinks order was taken due to it being a Monday and not overly busy but our waitress Elle or Ella sorry I can't remember 100% was incredible, she was attentive and had a great personality and had a giggle and was very accommodating when it came to our needs.

However after a check of the reviews, all good, we booked and the four of us went for lunch.
The food and service is superb, the salad bar was very good and every one loved their meals
The server Jess was superb, great service with a smile, happy to talk through the menu when a choice wasn't available.

Been here a number of times and always enjoyed it nice food,nice atmosphere but today disappointed us. Staff were lovely, helpful but short staffed left us waiting and went looking for staff and heard other customers say where are the staff. I hope this improves. I'm sure it will.

Nice place for lunch, very good deal with set menu (2 or 3 courses). We chose the set menu and there were enough options to choose from, also a few vegetarian dishes. A nice bonus was a free salad bar. Food was tasty and arrived quite quickly. Our waitress was very nice. I also really liked the decorations, felt very cosy and comfortable. Outside there's a big parking lot. I can recommend this place for a quick lunch at a good price.

It's been a while since I visited The Harvester as I was really put off the last time.
I have to say that this time it was much improved... The food was delicious, the server was fabulous, (thank you Jess) and the environment was very pleasant. The toilets were very clean too, a transformation from my visits previously, when I had repeatedly complained about them not being clean.
I will definitely be coming back, especially since there is a choice of vegan options on the menu and the salad bar was very good. ?

Had a lovely breakfast with my family, theres some new fantastic choices. The chocolate pancakes went down a treat? We was served by Tasha who was lovely, nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be returning ?

We came for breakfast with 3 children. The kids loved their pancakes and they let us exchange chocolate for syrup on one. We ordered the steak and hash browns, which was good but the steak a little tough in parts. The server Elle, was lovely and friendly and service was quick. Overall we had a nice brunch!

Beautifully cooked Ribeye Steak (medium rare if course). Hot, crisp fresh chips. Great (included)salad bar too..... And! They had a half price mains offer on! What's not to love!

First time back here in nigh on 10 years as it wasn't good at all back then... However, things have massively improved.. Food choice was so so much better this time. Staff were excellent and attentive. All round a really good meal that we both enjoyed. We shall be back again soon for sure.

Wonderful breakfast as always this morning and excellent service by Tasha. I've been coming to harvester for a good while now for breakfast and the food and service has always been fabulous. Tasha will go out of her way to make sure you are 100% happy with everything.

We went in late afternoon shown our table straight away order food and drink. Rachel arrived back with the food in no time, infact all the team were excellent. Would l go again? Yes great service food and prices well done to all

Food was lovely 2 of the extra large mix grills, for big eaters very tasty but they struggled. Turf, surf and bird decent size portion but chicken was a bit too spicy for me. Salad bar was served to you
but as always nice and fresh. Drinks 2 double gin and tonics and a pint of carling just over £18.00.
Lovely meal, staff very helpful, but restaurant was cold.
Would go back but taking a jacket next time.

Had a lovely boxing day fixed price menu this is evening. Food very good and service as speedy as could be. Our first time at harvester definitely will be going back. Staff friendly and bar prices reasonable

We loving coming to the Havester Atherleigh. Friendly and professional staff. Food is second to non I've never had to complain or send food back. We aren't local and we like to make the journey just to come to this Harvester. Keep up the good work! We can't wait to come back!

Lovely place, staff are so helpful, nothing too much trouble, we'll done, my granddaughter has coeliac disease, and they were brilliant in telling us what she could have, (instead of jacket potato and chicken) food is cooked separately so no cross contamination., she was over the moon she could have something different, food is lovely ???

We had a lovely meal and the staff where really helpful and explained that they would get the food from the sald bar for us because of covid rules nothing was to much trouble for them.. and I would definitely go again

Terrible food but excellent staff.
Mixed grill was 22£ and it was shockingly bad. Asked for steak well done and it was tht black it could have been served in urn.
Kids ice cream was warm milk.
Also short staffed and the place was filthy.

It has been years since my wife & I last visited Harvester, but this time will be certainly be much much sooner to be back again.
Like the title says expected nothing but came away very pleased, the service was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff, always smiling and very polite. The meal was very fresh and cooked excellently, and for the pricing very good. 3 course meal for £12 you can't fault that at all. We really couldn't fault anything. If Harvester could do anything to improve it would be maybe to redecorate the restaurant looks a little worn, but nevertheless the staff and meal was a lot more than expected and would fully recommend.

What a lovely meal we had. My daughter and I had the 2 course lunch. We had the same starters but different mains. It was all cooked beautifully and hot when it arrived. The salad bar was well stocked and staff who served it were lovely. All the staff were great. Very welcoming as we haven't been for a long time. Service excellent. Thanks for a lovely time.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice food but had ran out of what we wanted as we went later on. So will go earlier next time and will the hopefully be a 5* :-)

Good food , good service, but they've done away with the "buffet style" help yourself salad bar, I'm sure I won't be the only person feeding back negatively on this point. That said ,it's still a good place to eat.

revisited since the new lift of rules has been applied but the Harvester is still operating a well managed and safe business in line with restrictions. Food as always was really good and the service was excellent.

First visit in a long time this evening! And it was great! I had the rack of ribs (as always!) this time with spicy fries which I’d never tried before! I really enjoyed the meal. All the staff were friendly but a special mention to ‘Annabelle’ who looked after myself and my friends at our table. Her service was friendly and efficient which certainly added positively to the visit. Will certainly return.

Not happy today. As regular customers we do appreciate these difficult times for everyone. But the food was not good. The burgers were really dry as were the buns. We were given a discount but that did not make up for the disappointment on this occasion

I came into the Harvester with my daughter & grandson on Thursday 3rd June 2021. The staff are fabulous but my 2 star rating is on account of one of the worst ever steaks I have ever had. It was gristly, I took it home for my dogs & they even had problems chewing it. Never again will I allow my daughter to waste nearly £14.00 on an inedible piece of meat.

Staff were friendly but service was slow, our plates from our starters were left on our table after our mains had been brought out, no check in to see if everything was OK or to see if we wanted anything else to drink etc.
Great evening offer with 3 courses for around £16 which includes great options.
I had nachos to start which were delicious, my partner had garlic mushrooms which he also enjoyed. For main I had BBQ chicken stack, this was OK, could have done with more sauce and the chicken to be slightly less charred. My partners steak was overcooked which meant it lost flavour and was quite dry. Brownie was bitter but the ice cream was nice. Partner enjoyed the blackcurrant mousse
For the price you can't really grumble, I would return again but not in a rush.

We took advantage of the 2 course lunch deal for £9.99 ( 3 for £11.99). There was plenty of choice to choose from and the food was fresh, hot and very tasty. Great service too.

Waited 20 minutes to get a drink after finding a server. Spent one hour before food arrived and the second course arrived whilst still eating the first course.
The place as no heating it’s freezing and I felt sorry for the staff having to work in those conditions.
Had to ask for cutlery,, salt etc .
The bill we where overcharged by £20 , which was rectified.
The food was fine. Not blaming the staff .. they where very understaffed working in unacceptable conditions.
But will not be going again .
