I visited the branch recently for the first time and I am delighted to say the professionalism and fantastic service given just wowed me. From the eye scan, eye tests, the review and the picking of my glasses. I had 3 members of staff at each point of my appointment. But the service was great. Each professional and considerate. The branch was clean and tidy, well set out and Covid restrictions followed very well.

Appointment was on time, all staff were friendly and informative. I was only in probably 30 mins from entering to leaving and that was having an eye test and picking/ordering new glasses, so very efficient.

Went here 3 times to try and get some glasses sorted. Wasted my time each time. To many staff trying to deal with to many people at once. Take a leaf out if the Wigan branch and deal with one person from start to finish.

I had a 0955 appointment. On my way there, there was roadworks and roads were closed. I rang in at 0950and spoke to someone, told them I'd be running about 10min late, she assured me I'll get seen. I get there, there was noone seeing to people and waited to be seen to for another 10min. A woman called Sandra came and told me I wouldn't be seen to. Interestingly, I have been coming to this place for years and Sandra has never been nice to me at all. One time I came into Specsavers and she refused to tighten my screws 🙄, and that day I didn't get her name. I work with people in the NHS and have a bit of an idea how to interact with people from all walks of life. The fact that this is the 3rd time running in to Sandra, I'm done. I will go elsewhere. I'm sure they won't miss me, but I was once seen to by Ollie, and he gave us a great service. I'm 100% sure my review wi probably be a drop in the ocean but it's gotta be said, maybe someone might read this review. I would have given zero stars but I can't, sadly for me!

An opticians is an opticians ... wherever you go. Everyone knows the name, many of us are customers so why write a review? Well, I guess this is more of an acknowledgement and thank you to the team. Anyone who has been recently knows that it's s bit messy because the builders/decorators are in doing their thing. But, even with the disruption it is causing, the organisation and attention from all the staff was excellent. The eye tests are what you would hope and expect, thorough, professional and beneficial. The service when choosing frames was fun, which is something for me to say as I usually find things like that stressful. I happened to have the attention of both the bosses but it is clear that they take time to train their staff and that they support them. More importantly, the staff respond accordingly and seem to respect and trust them. I've used them before without any hiccups, at least at this branch, so kudos to you all for your service and attention and s thank you from me. See you when the frames arrive.

My glasses had to go back because I wasn't advised that the frames I chose were too small. This was pointed out after I took them back because they kept falling forward on my face. There were other problems as well which were resolved eventually! My husband had his eyes tested on the 8th October. His glasses are varifocals. One pair was ready 4 days later. As of today, 25th October, we have had no communication regarding the second pair! I phoned the store and was told they have arrived! When I queried why the second pair had taken so long, I was told varifocals can take up to 3 weeks! Why then did the first pair come back in 4 days? Especially as they go to the same place to be made. Doesn't make sense. I wonder how long it would have taken to be notified if I hadn't rang. Quick to take payment, but not to deliver the goods!

Big thanku to Lucy at leigh today I hadn't had my glasses long & they hadn't been comphy & I'd snapped them trying to alter them & was so worried & stressed as cudnt do without my glasses & these just wernt right anyway totally reassured me & put me at ease & helped choose me some more which felt perfect & with help from Ian as well I just can't thank u enough top class friendly service & what a relief that I av replacements coming soon & would definitely recommend specsavers leigh to anyone .

The level of service and support offered here is amazing.
My daft self forgot to place another order for my contact lenses, so I phoned up on a Friday to place the order .. baring in mind I had a holiday to go to on the Sunday.
The lady who I spoke to said it would most likely be a Tuesday until I got them but will try her hardest to get them to me earlier.
I got a text the next day (Saturday) letting me know they are ready for collection.
Overall, I got my contacts in less than 24 hours after I ordered them and the ladies who I spoke to were brilliant.

Had an overdue test at the Leigh store and. paid a little extra for the eye scan procedure.then a pleasant introduction to the staff and short wait until the test ,A few tweaks here and there to rectify a little issue.Then the task of choosing a pair of glasses from a choice of hundreds! If affordable frames to choose from !
I was able to find a frame I would not normally have opted for but in complete contrast from what I would usually wear was a perfect fit
I took advantage off the “two for one offer,”! so I’m readinesses for summer with a fantastic identical looking second pair of prescription glasses.

Awful service. Sat around while everyone chatted. 45 minutes to get a test, another 30 for specs. Train to become an optician, it will be quicker.

Not to great ,cant see so well like the others I had
Is just a bit difficult to get to read things.
Well the one I had before was varifocals but really good. Maybe is the prize because they are cheaper.
It doesn't give me the space to work around so I can read.
Well about the staff in the shop they are really nice and give all their best to the clients.

Not one to usually write reviews but I can’t fault any of the staff in specsavers Leigh. Especially as there is only a set of stairs to get up, on 2 occasions 2 lovely men helped me get my daughter up and down in her pram without being asked. Not only that they interacted with her and made me feel at ease as I was nervous about bringing her with me anyway! I wish I knew their names to thank them properly!
One man was the optician himself, and the other man was wearing a shirt and glasses standing at the front desk!

Went to pick spectacles today ( around 11am)
The 2 young men on reception didn't appear very interested.
No personality + no smile 😑
Jack however who then attended to me was very courteous + well mannered.
Explained everything well 👍
4 stars for Jack ( should be 5 really)

Good staff and equipment , accompanied elderly parent who was reffered for cateract ops at Spa Medical and was supported through process more than just glasses. Other parent needed hearing aids NHS done with doc referral.

I'm a client of Specsavers Leigh for a 6 years. And it's really sad to constant that their service becomes worse every month. You never know if you get your glasses,or in my case, lenses on time. They never let you know when your order. It's always a lottery
