Absolutely disgusting company. They treat their staff and clients with no respect and employ staff that can't even look after themselves. Shouldn't be an active business this it's a disgrace!

I have only been working here since September when Excel took over Cera Care which used to be Premier Care, I work in the Hindley area, in my opinion the office is well lead, I had my own set rota with the same service users and we communicate which is vital in the line of work, I absolutely love my job and my service users, here's to the years ahead!!

The company doesn't pay for your training which is 5 days long, they don't pay for shadowing which means you give hours of your own time for free, it's minimum wage. Every other care places pay for shadowing and pay a lot more ?

Excel may have taken over Premier care but all the office staff remain the same. The problem with this company is with the shockingly uncapable office staff, even the carers who come out will inform you of how bad the place is run by the uncontactable Donna and the Coordinator who couldn't coordinate herself around a game of Noughts and crosses. Last year this same team managed to overdose my father and put him in hospital. Donna who still works as the manager, her response "lack of training issues" no remorse, no emptahty and no surpise....these people are meant to be caring for our loved ones!? Company hadn't even performed a basic assessment or care plan. Other companies will give you time that they will arrive usually with a 15min buffer each way. Premier care staff "excel" can't coordinate a time withing 3 hours never mind 15 mins. That's also if they do turn up, sometimes it's easier for a carer to say they "turned up". Unfortunately for them the house has ring cameras which showed me nobody stepped foot on the property. The incompetence of this whole office is enough to drive anyone insane, their empathy towards customers who are seeing their loved ones uncared for is zero. They'll always cover there back and be unapologetic to any mistakes, to the extent of uncaring. Managers wont speak to you and issues occur until the point of feeling like you have to shout at the braindead staff just to listen/care/show an ounce of compassion. Stay very clear, belong care in Wigan is the place to go if you want your loved ones cared for like a human being.

Excel care have taken over Premier Care who were previously taken over by Ceri Care. I am sorry to say they are not excelling. My mum should have been given an evening medication the last 13 nights, this important pill has only been given 6 times not 13. I have asked for a paper communication log and Mars chart they will not supply me with this. I was told we live in a digital age its all done on the app!!! I want to read a log as do my mums friends when they visit each week. They are between 78 and 82 and don't use apps. It it really too much to ask for? What about diversity and personalised care? Why are we being penalised for not embracing the digital world. My mum is more than a tick box on an app. Fingers crossed she gets her tablet tonight. Mum won't remember and her friend won't be able to check tomorrow as we live in a digital age.

Excel is my third care company job. I had almost given up doing the job I love. If it was not for excel I would have. They put clients and carers first. They have given me the opportunity to develop my skills and knowledge by using my own initiative. They have respected my availability and have never changed my rota or calls, especially whilst out on shift. They do not call cram and offer a lot of support. The office staff have been very friendly and approachable so far and I can put my trust in them that they respect me the way I respect them. They have many work groups chats where there is always extra support from other work colleagues. They provide full thorough training and everything needed to work. Excel really do go above and beyond. I have only been here three months and don’t plan on leaving any time soon. I would love to progress here as it feels more like a family than a work place. Every morning I look forward to work knowing my job is appreciated and well ran. Excel really do excel in care. Would highly recommend.

I have worked for excel for around 2 years now. Was fully trained in a week and learnt even more in my shadowing sessions. As the years have gone on my circumstances have changed and managment have been more than co-operative with my sudden change of work hours, days, and childcare. I very much enjoy working for excel and will continue to grow with the company

I have changed my review from a five to a two and it’s only because of the hard work and dedication of the staff that has achieved this. I have never seen a Rota completed at midnight expecting the girls to go out and complete this the following day, also timings are atrocious expecting carers to be in two places at exactly the same and then ringing to see where they are. Originally I scored it a four but was asked by my manager to change it to a 5, (I still have messages to prove this) also I have not worked for the company for six months due to having serious health issues and being unable to physically work. During this time I have had no verbal contact from management to check on my welfare, I know this isn’t a legislation however it would be nice to think that people are thinking of you, good look to the front line workers and just do your best.

I have worked at Excel for a few weeks now. I was full trained before Christmas by Fiona then done a few shadowing shifts until I felt fully confident to double up with another carer. All the staff are lovely always there to help. The management are very approachable. The seniors are always there to listen to any problems or concerns you have. And last but not least the 2 Jess's in office are lovely and very helpful.

My mum has used Excel care now almost two years. As with any work place you get excellent workers and some who do the minimum. I have spoke my concerns over this period but issues have been addressed and I know they do their best to accommodate people's needs. This is a challenging job and I appreciate the care they deliver day in and day out. My mum would be lost without her key workers. A massive thank you from me ☺️

I've worked for Excel for 8 months. In that time I have been promoted to senior carer after being noticed and acknowledged for my previous care work experience, efforts and dedication. I have never had a job that I enjoy so much. Management are outstanding and supportive of staff. They take on board suggestions (and act on them) and take concerns seriously.
Fellow carers are caring, experienced and confident in their abilities and always willing to go the extra mile for their clients. Excel wouldn't expect any less!
Excel train all staff in house to an excellent standard and ensure that carers are partnered up with competent, experienced carers to shadow in the early days. New recruits aren't put onto the rota until their competency has been established.
I would not hesitate to recommend Excel Care Management to those in need of our services.
