Friendly members of staff. Clean. Neat.
It has many convenient businesses and cafes including Costa by the exit towards the bus station.
The toilet is only available at the Tesco Extra which is just outside, 5min walking.

Great vibe as always but it feels more and more just like a side entrance for the market. As all the good stores have gone.

It's basically a mini Trafford centre in the middle of Leigh. Doing alot better. It definitely needs another floor. Clean, and friendly staff. Only 1 or 2 empty units 5hat could be filled easily.

I always find it sad when I see the decline in local shopping with shoppers utilising supermarkets and retail parks rather than doorstep businesses.
Spinning Gate Shopping Centre is a clean (inside) centre with very polite staff who are always happy to help. There are many empty retail units highlighting the decline.
My major critique is that when you enter the centre by the bus station entrance, you are confronted by scores of smokers congregating around the doors. It literally takes your breath away, trying to get inside the shopping centre. Surely, as an establishment, there should be perimeters for where smokers stand?
My other critique is the drug users sitting at either entrance trying to scam money for their next fix. Everybody knows who they are and if they are around crime will inevitably follow, yet they are allowed into the building passing through without a care, when I was there one was scamming ithin the double doors.
Come on, Spinning Gate, make your premises appealing to us to use

A reasonablely clean and neat shopping centre. A fair mix of shops plus access to the local market hall with butchers and greengrocers as well as other suppliers

Lovely and clean, pretty quiet, so loads of space. Right next to the market and always parking spaces available. I would rather drive to here than go to Wigan, which is on my doorstep.

We visit here every few weeks to take my Mother in-law for lunch in the indoor market cafe. Parking can be a bit tough as it is a popular shopping location.

Nice cafe inside, a little small, parking should be free, great market for food and veg. Good phone shop.

Went in to do a little bit of shopping with my 4 month old son and my mother. Had the pleasure of seeing santa. The centre arranged for santa to be there from 12:30-16:30 and completely free. Nice little photo opportunity and a memory I will keep for my son. Thank you

Was a Sunday when I visited so was very quiet, which personally I prefer. On the plus side it’s clean bright and warm and as the Town Centre has not got a great deal to offer these days the Shopping Centre during the week especially when the indoor Market is open you could say it’s the one stop shopping place in Leigh to go.

Nice little shopping centre , a few units are empty but I suppose this is the norm in the current climate. Coffee shop , clothes , health and beauty and lots more.

Shops are filling up again. Alot of empty shops after lockdown but now starting buzz again along with market hall. Also close to large car park and Tesco and Lidl.

Lots of shops closed down since my last visit. Indoor market was ok but many stallholders don't price their goods so you have to ask and get drawn into sales pitch

A few good shops, from clothing to tech. Has plenty of pay and display parking. For disabled the parking is charged for 1 hour with a further 2 hours free. The mall is accessible and has 2 entrances into the market, all of which are also accessible. Sadly, there are only 2 disabled toilets in the town, one on the Spinningate car park and the other at the bus station.... If you need a disabled toilet then it is not possible to use the one on the car park at weekends as this is locked up!! The one at the bus station has been locked for weeks for 'essential maintenance'!! So shopping in Leigh is a definite no no if you are disabled unless you shop Mon-Fri and are lucky enough to find the accessible toilets actually open!!

First impressions okay ish, but like most shopping centre's.not much retail choice.
Overall okay ish.
It was clean and tidy on my visit and like me you could do most of your shopping there, but like I always comment on my feed back Google maps visit. I can only give my honest opinion.
Visit Leigh town yourself and you probably say the same as me. Maybe?
In all the shops I went into I was greeted with friendly faces by the shops assistant's and when I asked for general queries, they did help me professionally.

Times are tough. Great for charity shops with their bargains. Some decent fruit and veg shops also as well as the flourishing market stalls selling arts and crafts behind the main shopping area which deserve support.

Super shopping centre, visit often the clothes shops, I. e. Roman, Peacocks & Bon Marche, who all have something different to offer. Several good card shops and stationers. The indoor markets attached, love having a stroll round here, reminds me of long ago days, visiting Cross Lane Market, sad that's no longer there.

I loved the place!. Let me start by saying there isn't an easily accessible toilet there so that was a downturn for me. But besides that, I loved the place. There were lots of seats around, a huge clothe store at affordable price, farmfood store selling products at good prices and the main market asides other lovely little stores. I bought a custard pie off a bakery store just on the left of the first entrance to the market and I haven't forgotten how amazing the pie was! Go spinning gates!!!
